The idea is simple. Move your body. Get fitter.
It ain't a contest. It's about doing what you can do to get mobile.

Between the dates of February 1 and February 28, the challenge is to earn 50 Becker Points. Points can be earned in the following fashion:

1 mile (1.6 km) on foot = 1 Becker Point
4 miles (6.4 km) road cycling = 1 Becker Point
2 miles (3.2 km) mountain biking = 1 Becker Point
1 mile (1.6 km) swimming = 6 Becker Points

If you just do one thing, you'll need to hoof it 50 miles, or road bike 200 miles, or mountain bike 100 miles, or swim 8.3 miles. But you can combine items to build toward 50 Becker Points in any fashion you choose. Honor system in play.

The reward? You'll feel better, and you'll be participating with a group of supportive peers.

So, today I did the first Couch to 5k training. Couple things I've learned, 1) OH LORD JEEBUS! Make sure you have water with you, not just figure you'll be fine for the 20 minutes. 2) Have something in your stomach, besides coffee. I'm thinking toast will be good. 3) Don't attempt it right after doing 10 flights of stairs.

So far I have 2 miles (It was 1.88 miles but I was rounding up). Taking off tomorrow (gotta work, and pick up family from the airport) so will be running again Tuesday. (Running of course being a subjective term)

The fiance and I went for a 3 mile jog this afternoon in preparation for the Super Bowl feast. I probably ate my weight in food and beer, but hey, BPs are BPs :D

Total BP for February=3

I'm on the board!

2/1: 1.88 BPs; rode the exercycle at the gym for 7.55 miles

2/2: 1 BP, walked my dog

Current Total BPs: 2.88

How many points does getting laid count for? Not saying I currently want to add any BPP however it is a viable mode of working out isn't it?

Did a 4 mile hike on Saturday.

4 BP for February.

...23 BP points for February

Today I was hoping for another 10 miler but my calves were very tight and sore. I'm not sure if it's from yesterday's 10 miler or the weather change here. Yesterday was in the mid-60's and sunny. Today it's in the high-30's/low-40's and rainy. Either reason I cut my run short to day from 10 miles to 10km (6.2 miles).

23 BP + 6 BP = 29 BP for February

2 miles jogging = 2bp
2 miles walking = 2bp
4 bps for today

Total BP=7

I owe the monotony of my Tuesday for today's trek--I nearly doubled my BPs for February . I was trapped in the office and classes all morning, when I finally got off work I went to a local green-way to blow off steam and just stretch my legs, and knocked out 6.5 miles for 6.5 BPs!

I tweaked the Plantar Fascia of my right foot during the last mile, I'm really hoping it's back to normal in the morning :(

Total BP=13.5

Had to drop out last Move Your Butt because I busted up my knee in rugby but I'm looking to finish this one strong.

Ran 2 miles for a total of 2 Becker Points

Total= 2 Becker Points

I walked a mile for 1 point and exercycled two miles for another half-point.

2/4 BPs: 1.5

Current Total BPs: 4.38

I hope that clears up for you, I am on a year and a half of plantar fascia issues... started when I was painting my house. finally getting under control. I spend about 15-20 minutes everyday stretching my calf muscles..

1 mile walk and 6 mile ride. = 2.5 + .7 = 3.2

.75 mile warm up and .25 of step boxes... 4.2 ttd

Just did a short 1 mile walk to keep my feet or muscles from getting tight or sore after yesterday.

Total BP=14.5

Thanks man, It feels much better today but still a little sore. It's such a wierd, sore, stretchy feeling across the bottom of my foot. It's hard to describe, but it feels okay this evening.
