Becker "Move Your Butt" Challenge - January 2014

Haven't been online much the last several days,but have been "moving my butt",pretty much every other day riding laps around the park where we live,so I'm just going to add a bulk entry here,being month's end (I keep a detailed ride journal,logging every mile,any ride of any type over 1 mile long).

Miles ridden (after my last entry until today): 60.57 Miles (all "road riding" laps here,2 seperate rides).
Points Gained: 15.142

So my BK Points for the month of January total is: 88.777 BK Points.

Man,had I know'd I was so close to breaking triple digit for the month (I wasn't keeping track of total/BK points in my riding journal),I woulda rode a bit more on those day sI was just being lazy about it :p

This was a fun way to kick '14 off to a good one for me riding,thanks for the motivation,fellers :)
 
Switched off and did cardio today so I could hit the goal for the month.. squeaked it in there.

1 mile walk in heavy hills = 1
8 mile ride on fat burn = 2

total for January 50.9 points.

Thanks for the added motivation! I am down 52 pounds so far..

I like the idea of keeping a running total, but after thinking about it some, I think starting a new thread every month may help tempt some new people to kick it off and there won't be any "old timers" with 500+ points discouraging any new people from giving it a try...

2 mile walk on treadmill, hills = 2
6 mile bike ride on intervals = 1.5

3.5 + 44.4 = 47.9 ttd

I guess I will do cardio tomorrow too so I can close this one out...
 
Hopefully the good habit is sticking! knocked out another 2.5 miles of jogging/walking today for a total of 54.5 BPs



Thanks man! your posts, as well as others, have motivated me to stick with it and get my rear in gear.

3 miler before the close of january for a grand total of 57.5bp!

2 miles tonight = 33 for the month.
That's way down from December, but it's been tough to focus on it with so much else going on.

I did lose 9 lbs in the last 3 weeks, so that's good. I lost 40 ~ 3 years ago, and have maintained but I was really fighting that "Final 10." Now I have just 1 more to go to hit my target!
(I may move the target down another 5, though, just to be on the safe side.)
 
Well, bugger - I didn't even hit the 50-point mark, much less my personal goal of 60 points. I could've busted butt like a few members did and racked up what I needed to hit 50, but it feels like that could've compromised my immune system, and there's a wicked cold/flu floating around Albuquerque right now. Thankfully, February is a fresh month!

1/31 BPs: 3.15
