I've been a bit under the weather (and the weather's been a bit too crisp, below 15-20 degrees sets my old spinal injuries to ailing and it's been such),haven't been outside other than absolute have-to's since my last ride. Wanted to drop in and check up tho,and give everyone a encouraging word, keep it going, yer doing great! :)

Wow, first time seeing this. This and the weights challenge are GREAT ideas, and should continue year round.

...Now I'm up 29 BP for the month.

Today I knocked out a 9 mile (14.59km) trail run.
Total = 38 BP for January

Today I took a few pictures with my iphone.

I kept trying to get a picture of Mount Fuji over my shoulder but I couldn't see it on the screen so I was just guessing/hoping that it was there. When I got home and was able to look on the computer I realized I didn't get as lucky as I was hoping to be.

Got the boy outside after his basketball game on the bikes and did laps, teaching him alls about snow biking (while it wasn't too awful deep. Did 15 laps for 15.613 miles. This was to be one of his last few rides on his Scott mini-mtn bike (20"). He's ready for a 26"er,but he's a bit scared it'll be too much bike for him on our fairly technical trails (lotsa rocks, roots, downed trees, etc). Already have a new Giant 24"er mtn bike ordered for him :) Me? singlespeed and disc brakes with the air pressure dropped in moth tires sounds about right :p

3 mile stroll around downtown this afternoon, just to stretch the legs and get out and about between classes.

Total BP=38.5

Went out to the Awendaw passage of south caorlina's Palmetto Trail. It was a gorgeous day, plenty of sunshine, mid 50s. I knocked out 8.5miles and feel great.

Total BP=47

DC I used to love riding my bike in the snow when I was growing up in Wisconsin. It looks like we were at the difference of extremes. I was running in shorts and a t-shirt with temps in the mid 50's while you were bundled up for the snow.

Beautiful day here, almost hit 80.. Ended up going to a local greenbelt while waiting for my flat tire to get fixed.. got to love Discount Tire, another free tire replaced, that makes 4 in maybe 2 years. Anyway, got out on the trails with wife and son and did a mile and half loop.

Today was my rest day, but it was so beautiful here today, hit almost 80 and sunny skies, we took my son to the park with his new bike that he got for Christmas. It was his first time ever riding. We ended up doing 2 miles with him on his bike! He loved it and once I got the seat right he was flying along with training wheels barely touching. Finished with another 2 laps around the park for a total of 3 miles.

Guyon, you're an inspiration. I love seeing your runs get longer and longer. I can't seem to find the time or motivation to keep advancing.

Been a tough week.

Left Monday night for a short business trip. When I came back Tuesday night the basement was flooded. Spent Wednesday morning emptying the basement and replacing the water heater outlet line. Friday my daughter came down with Strep and I had to stay in with her. Yesterday my wife had a conference all day, and I had to go into work all night to make up for Friday. Today wasn't bad, but with an event at the girls' school in the morning and a highly-anticipated father-daughter bowling session (other daughter) this afternoon I had no time to myself whatsoever. Then, after dinner, it feels like I pulled something on the back of my knee.

I managed a 1 mile walk anyway. It was darn slow, but about 1/2 mile in the leg really loosened up. So hopefully it's okay, but I didn't want to push it.
Total BP = 29. Unlikely to hit 50 this time around.

At least I've been keeping up with the crunches and pushups. 14 days into "The 17 Day Diet" I've cracked a 3-year plateau and am down 6 lbs and at a low I haven't seen in probably 8 or 9 years. So at least that part is working out.
