Becker "Move Your Butt" Challenge - October 2014

Started back up jogging/running again this week after a few months of being off. Needless to say I'm easing back into it with a similar program as the couch to 5K, but it is a bit more aggressive in how quickly it bumps up the time intervals.

Monday, October 13 - 2.5ish mi (guess) walk/jog - 2.5 BP
Wednesday, October 15 - 2.86 mi (per app) walk jog - 2.86 BP

Net - 5.36 BP.... Better than 0!

2 nights ago, upon my return from BeckerWest, I had to restock the kitchen a bit and pull everything, including the built-in storage center, out of the master closet.
Last night was spent under the sink hooking up 2 outlets and a garbage disposal.
Isn't remodeling great?

Tonight I actually got a 2 mile walk.

19 BPs TTD.

I walked 2.25 miles on a step mill/escalator machine on Friday and walked 1.5 miles today.

Current BPs: 8.75

Another 32+ miler today. forgive me Beckerheads, for I have sinned...it's been 9 days since my last ride.....
9+8=17 BP.
Less nice weather today. Windy and kinda chilly...but there were quite a few people out surfing anyway.

34 miles today. 8.5 + 17 = 25.5 BP. At least I got another one in in less than a week. It's not really fitness, but it's all I've got.

Definitely better than nothing! How do you like the Couch to 5K-style programs? I've been out of jogging for a few months and am frustrated with my efforts to return.

By the way, my "let's hear it for the low-rollers" comment was directed only at myself, so I hope no hard feelings happened.

Haha - no worries! They aren't too bad. A few years ago when I tried it the first time I had never ran or jogged before, but I had no problems getting up to pace and sticking with it. By the end, it was no problem to go out and take a 3 mile run. I forgot where we found the "Couch to 5K" program I used to get going the first time around, but it was a bit more gentle than the walk/jog I'm trying this time around. I'll be starting week 2 of Runner's World, "The 8-Week Beginner's Program" this evening.

Walked a mile yesterday.

20 BPs TTD.

Walked 2 miles tonight. Finally.

Last night was running wires and installing a new light fixture all night.
I can't even remember the nights before - running kids places, cleaning up after contractors, getting things ready for the net one. Crazy times.

22 BPs to date.
