• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Becker Parang BKBP

You guys know there was a non-folding version too, right...

Yeah, I would guess the pestilence chopper was influenced by it. Not only that, I’d imagine Becker scales were influenced by it too. Similarly shaped, Ethan improved the ergos.

I really need to put Becker scales on one of those. :)

A couple years ago, I wanted to put the Becker scales on one, but I never found a cheap beater to try it, and didn't want to risk an expensive purchase and them not fitting good?
But I assumed they would, since they are Really similar!

Hey Crag the Brewer Crag the Brewer , can we get close ups of your handle and how you dealt with any gaps? Thank you! :)

Ok, I'm still at work, but I'll take closer detailed pics tonight hopefully.... I still have more cosmetic work to do on it, I wanted to prove it's design before making it pretty..... But mostly I drilled new holes, ground down the top of the tang, and filled with liquid metal epoxy on the bottom area.... I still have slight more fill to add, more grinding, and clean up the scales with paint or sandblasting, idk

I was thinking there were non-folding versions as well but i couldnt recall precisely. And yeah, i was saying how the ethan may have mentioned the pilot machete design, not the pestilence. Its easy to assume that kabar did get the pestilence design from the pilot machete. I think the death dagger is also designed after a vintage blade.

That pestilence has a look about it, like a rendition of the old folding pilot machete (without the folding part). I dont want to put words in anyones mouth but i think i recall ethan expressing admiration of that blade design (Maybe an old video?).
I found the video, a least the one I was thinking of. During his discussion about kukris, Ethan talks about his Case Pilot's Machete then said combine that with a kukri and you get the Machax.

Are my pictures not showing? I rushed them super quick on my way out the door, before work this morning….

*if they aren't working, I'll redo them tonight. :/
