I have the EAGLE INDUSTRIES MOLLE BECKER PATROL Pack. It only has slip pockets on the inside and one zippered pocket on the lid. It fits about the same as the ILBE Assault pack. What I like most about it is the fact that it doesn't have any pockets on the outside, and the fact that it doesn't hold too much. There are two 6" slip pockets on the inside/ side. and a long but narrow slip pocket along the inside back pocket. Mine came with a plastic backplate and a foam buttpad/ stiffiner "plate".
I used to use it as for day hikes, but now I just use it for road tripping bag when we don't take my truck (I have a extensive kit in my PV). It makes for a great day tripper though. It fits everything I'd need and a little more. The top is expandable which is nice, but I don't know that I'd want to load it down that much with it's suspension, although the waste belt is robust.
Here are some pictures I snapped this morning, I had to go through it anyways.
inside pockets
Lid zippered (only zipper on this pack)
Just to give you an idea of how much you can stow in this pack here is what I have in it:
40 degree Snugpak sleeping bag, Warrbonnet Silnylon tarp kit.
Bank line, 550, mess tin, wood stove, cat stove w/ fuel, USMC IFAK, belt, head lamp, flashlight, extra batteries, fire kit, sewing kt, multi-tool
3 MRE's, Rice, Soup, Gravy, Gatorade, SS 1 liter Water Bottle in outside slip pocket
Since this pack is not in production I would say the comparable pack would be the USMC ILBE Assault pack as it carries just as much, plus they are cheap.
