Beckerhead firearms

I cant seem to find 30-40 krag anywhere. I emailed remington, winchester and the cmp as weel, so I'll see what they say

I wanted to panic buy a pair of ar15s while we still can. However the wife and the wallet said noooo.

I'm just going to buy two lowers and just build them up over the next six months or so.

Yeah, I thought it would be more common. I read that remington only makes it about once a year in small batches. I did however find 2 boxes of winchester 180gr so I snagged those as soon as I saw them

I got bored and looked around some more for .30-40 ammo (aka .30 army) and found nothing. Best I found were listings for Remington Cor-lokt that I could backorder for $48 and change. Looks like I won't be getting a Krag until I get a reloading press.

Yeah, I'm not sure why the ammo is not more common. The two boxes that I got turned out to be new/old stock from the 80's

I forgot to mention, the M&P15 sport II had a serious issue with the trigger resetting. HOWEVER, I had neglected to clean the gun before taking it out. I wouldn't think it would matter but when I got home and inspected the gun to try and diagnose the trigger issue I wiped off the disconnector and it worked fine after that. Gotta run some more ammo through it to make sure.

Then my Pietra 1873 locked up. Something in the action is binding up the trigger.

I need to get out and shoot my M&P, haven't had a chance to shoot it yet

Clean it first, making sure to wipe off the trigger group. Lol. I only had 120 rounds of steel cased Tula but it tore through them without an issue. I tried to get some groups but I was shooting all over the place. I had one that was strung vertically, one that was horizontal and to the left, one all over and one barely on paper so I know it was my fault. I gave up and just went for function after that. Oh, and the handguards are cheapo knock-offs and they don't have any heat shields. It got pretty hot.

Finally finished...
-Aero Precision Gen 2 lower
-Aero Precision M4E1 Enhanced upper
-Aero Precision BCG
-Enhanced M-Lok rail
-B5 Systems grip and shoulder stock
-Magpul Pro back up iron sights
-Aimpoint PRO optic

Nice looking rifle. I use a Aero Precision Gen 2 lower also
I just ordered 3 8" AR500 targets. Love shooting steel. Now I need to build some stands.

So this happened:

SKS sporter that takes AK mags. The scope and mount are going bye-bye and probably the stock too, maybe even the muzzle brake. But I can work with it.

California, I hate you. I hate you with a totality that only a native can have. Your governor (joke), who I rode with in an elevator one day before his current tour of orifice, does not know how much I loathe his very fibre. He should not return from his holiday, for he returns a traitor, despised. My fellow Californians, I wish you well, but this state WILL burn.

Took the M&P out yesterday and ran about 70 rounds through it. Worked flawlessly, not a single mess up of any kind. I'm really liking this rifle
