Beckerhead firearms

So I got this nice little carbine today. Sporterized Carcano TS for $125. I was kinda wanting something more intact but it looks like they only cut on the stock so maybe one day I'll replace the stock and put it back how it should be. However it is pretty nice as it is so maybe I'll just keep my eyes peeled for another. The two other TS' they had were pretty rough. Now to find some clips and ammo.

Wanting some advice on remington 870's. A local pawn shop has a rack of older wingmasters. They vary from around $200 to $300 or so. I was wondering what I should look for and what a good price would be?

Most of the time, if they look ok outside and cycle alright then it should be fine. I don't know what a new 870 goes for but I'd have a hard time paying $300 for a used one.

Hoss wasnt that what Lee Harvey used ?

Some Carcano variant. I think he had a full length rifle. Few years ago my dad picked up a Carcano at a gunshow not really knowing what it was, just that it was cheap. I need to see if he still has it. It was kinda cruddy but I think he only gave like $60 for the thing.

Got the 1911 Colt Comp. Pistol!

There are no images of said pistol therefore one must conclude that such an acquisition never took place.

Just placed my order for a Finn M39 rifle and Swiss K1911 Schmidt-Rubin carbine. The K31's seem like they may have dried up but I'm going to keep my eyes out for one. I've seen some individual ones around but none of the large online retailers have them in stock anymore.

Classicfirearms.com has Schmidt-Rubins and several other milsurps for decent prices. Nothing rare, pretty common stuff like Yugo Mauser's but worth checking out. They're out of K31s though and it seems they have dried up. Gonna have to hunt for one of them. They have all the other common variants, 1889s up though K1911 rifles and carbines.

lol I was asking if you know anything about em. Your one of our resident gun experts

There's a few different models but there's no denying S&W makes good stuff. Get one, take out the lock and buy a plug for the hole, and learn how to do preventive maintenance on it. Revolvers aren't immune to malfunctions but most of them are preventable by just going over them and checking things often.

s&w just gave $500,000 to help shut down Healey in MA for attempting to make felons out of anyone having bought most guns after 1994...

buy some S&W goodness

Wing masters are better guns than the express depends on year and such but less plastic ect 300 seems good for a nice one. 200 is a steal.

Maybe I should get another M&P Sport II...

it's literally not worth my time, even to order the part, so i won't use it...

though, having a few plates might be choice for mods.

i already have a two stage target trigger and forged bull barrel. so...

Hey Hoss, what about the Smith and Wesson 8 shot .357 ?

I can testify that the TRR8 is a brute!

I've had it for a couple of years and like it a lot. One thing I may change is the grips. I'm not a huge fan of the rubber "no slip" grips... My favorites are smooth wood from Steve Herrett like I have on my M66.

I don't like the House grip that much either but they can be made to fit you very well with the help of a dremel and a little time.
