My new concealed carry pistol. Now to find an AIWB holster. :p

Looks to be pretty well made but I've only had it for half and hour. Trigger sucks of course but and ALG Defense AKT will fix that.

I just got the shipping notification today, apparently their server crashed or something. Still, the delay over the mags was enough to make me never want to order from them again. Terrible communication over there.

i kinda want a 300BLK SIG MCX, but you know $1800 :D

Changed out the Sig Brace for the Shockwave stabilizing blade. Less bulky and a whole lot lighter. Me likey.

Love it. After I get a Shockwave for my M92 above I'm going to build an AR pistol on a stripped lower I have.

i'm all for the MCX with no buffer tubes...

but i'm dreaming of a cherry K98 Mauser

know mausers? school me.

Does it have to be a legit German K98? Yugoslavia got the tooling to make their own Mausers after the war and made some nice clones on the German machinery and they're very inexpensive. M24/47's and M48's are pretty much K98K's with Yugo markings and are very common right now.

well, some regard the Yugo SKS as "The Best"...

what i want is a mix of "best pretty good" and "good shooter". i want to learn from it, and enjoy it. i don't want junk.

i saw an austrian mauser the other day. engraved with deer and shit. machine bolt. wondrous. old. probably $$$$.

love mosins, but the finnish versions are "the best"...

for beauty, i'd take a Swedish Mauser, but they're not 8mm, and ammo is tough i hear?

I'd say start with a Yugo, I have a beater M48 but it's not junk.

And Classic Firearms has Finn M39's right now, I need to order one. At this point Mosin's aren't cheaper than other common milsurps so I wouldn't even bother with a regular one unless someone just wants an example from every major power from WWI/II.

Just realized that I never posted this. My latest acquisition, an 1898 Springfield Krag Jorgensen

The person who owned it before me used it as his deer rifle so he cut the stock down to change the balance

I would love to get a 1917. We have a CMP garand. Mostly Springfield parts with a couple of H&R parts thrown in. We also have a 1903 but not really sure if it counts. It's been sporterized so the only original parts are the bolt and reciever.
like bladite, I also want a mauser

Honestly, I just have a thing for milsurp bolt-action rifles

My Grandfather was a WW1 vet and had a 30-40 Krag. It ended up in Canada when my uncle and his family moved up there. My aunt asked if my dad wanted it back and we both said yes...problem is its with my cousins husband (she passed away from cancer) and he stonewalls more than, well, let's just says someone at congressional committees. We'll never see it again.

:D

If I can get my hands on a Draco or an M92, I'd love to set up another pistol in 7.62. Much easier to do an 80% and pistol-ize in my neck of the woods, though. Sucks, as I'm more of a rock and lock kind of guy.

Sidenote, so clean!
