Anyone have experience with the SAR CZ 75 clones? They look great and are cheeeeeep.

Mr. Bower, that looks like a S&W 66 that has been trying to find me. Please pm me if it needs a new home.

Went back to the gunshow today. Made a couple more rounds and this was the only thing that really spoke to me for a price I could swing. Another Ruger Security Six, this one with the 2.75" barrel.

Pairs nicely with my 4" Security Six

A lot of nice ones on gunbroker. I need to get some Speed Sixes too. And if I could find a Six in 9mm...yeah buddy.

little gunshow today up at the county fairgrounds -- not much bigger than the shows they used to hold in NG Armories -- prices were still a bit higher than I was willing to pay for what I was seeing.

Gun shows ain't what they used to be.

"big" one in Topeka in 2 weeks - hopefully it will have better selection & prices.

I never seem to do any good at gun shows any more. I did go ahead and pick up the Turkish CZ 75 clone. Couldn't find a single bad review. Knocked a couple of sharp edges off, cut out some stair tread tape for the grips and hit the back yard for a few magazines. One of the best shooting pistols I've owned. Accurate, smooth and not a bobble. So far I'm liking the hell out of it. Good trigger, decent sights, a shooter.

Barrel looks great as well as all the internals. Really an impressive pistol for a deuce and a half.

good to hear - I've been considering the compact version of that one, but was leery due to the price.

Seems anymore gunshows are mostly home-based FFL's that bought as much cheap junk as they could get their hands on and are trying to fleece people that still think gunshows are places to get deals. If you're looking for a used gun, have a good knowledge of what you're looking for, have a wad of cash, and are willing to offer less than the sticker price you can do alright. But you can do just as well if you make rounds at the gun stores and watch the classifieds.
