Beckerhead Jobs

I've been in corrections for the last eight and a half years. Started out as a line officer, worked up to a Lt. position, did that for a while, found myself a nice desk job that still allows for some excitement from time to time. Working in a female facility that focuses on drug rehab at the moment. Non violent, non sex offenders, trying to help make the world a better place. Hoping maybe someone will improve their life. They pay is crap, but it is honest work. Plus, I am well enough established there and earn so much leave, that if I need to get out into the bush for a while, it is never a problem. I guess it is a pretty good gig. Hell, I don't know what else I would do. ;)

It looks like the becker community is quite diverse, and I love the fact that the interest in the becker knives and tools can be found in corrections officers, IT-professionals, construction workers, first responders, farmers, and everything in between. It would be sad if the community would consist entirely of one homogeneous group.

I have to admit I was surprised to learn we had a member of the clergy here. I figured most were just heathens. ;)

No, I want the whole set. So we need a Rabbi next. ;)

Engineering Program Manager at a large semi-conductor based company. Before that I managed an Applications Engineering team that supported chip level integration of high-speed circuits and interfaces. My dream job is retiring on the beach! Oh, my weekend job is as a saxophone player in an R&B/Funk band that hits all the major casinos in our area.

The only thing I think we're lacking now is a chicken sexer.

Im ok at that but it depends on the breed of the chicken. Some you can tell by the pin feathers on the wings others its a bit harder. I guess Im an amateur chicken sexer.

that's some big glu-lam! I thought the 6x26 beam running through my house was healthy sized!

Spent over 15 yrs as an officer of the court, working with elevated status felony offenders and gang crap. Much gray hair and a heart attack later I walked away with no regrets, and am now happily an operations supervisor for MLB.com
