Beckerhead Knife Making and Modification Thread

A couple recent pieces in O1, for those of you not following me on IG already. It's getting hard to keep up with multiple non-integrated platforms...:

Very nice daizee :thumbsup: thanks for posting them here I'am not an I G er :D

Looks like you have something very cool to occupy your free time.

WOW.
Are any of them already hardened? Looks like only two are already ground.
What are you planning...?

I think they are all hardened, if I remember correctly. Not sure what I'm going to do with them yet, never messed with stick tangs before. Feels like a waste letting them sit all these years.

those tangs work great with birch bark or leather washers.
that pile of 18 looks like a fun camp knife size -- are they recon scout blanks?

Finishing up my 5.75" fighter blade. So far I have a 600x satin finish. The plan is to go up to an 800x satin finish. The guard will be German Silver and the handle cocobolo or walnut. I tried a tapered ricasso because my original grinding attempt a few years ago was a disaster. I think it looks good, but if anyone has a differing opinion, please fire away.(see photo 3) The swedge will be ground this week. Photo 4 is the 3.75" Wharncliffe blade nearing completion.
