Beckerhead Knife Making and Modification Thread

One of our members (Bush-Haus) has enlisted my help in modding his 16 for him.
He told me I could take some liberties with the mods if I felt they were beneficial, but overall he wanted a bit more of a "Bushcraft" shape along with some wood scales (Pommele Sapele) and mosaic pins.

After seeing how the knife was panning out, I realized that the scales called for a bit more of a polished look, so I brought the flats up to 800 grit then hit them on a Very Fine Scotch-Brite belt and shrunk the lanyard hole. The scales still need to be brought up a bit in finish, and there is still some Very minor tweeks that are to be made, but this is basically it.

Just one photo for now.
Niiiiiiice.

A tease for y'all and for myself: I won't get to shape this handle until after my next work trip. Arg!

There are a number of modest flaws with this little experiment, but I've treated it as a scrap knife the whole way, so ya gets what ya gets.
I'm pretty happy with how it turned out regardless, but the proof will be in the cutting:

To be done:

Nice looking piece, daizee. I love the little inclusion of that...er, "inclusion".....just gotta love wood in all its flawed but perfect beauty.
Same for you as well, NJBill....Ron is lucky to have that most excellent slab of steel sandwiched between such mesmerising cellulose! Nicely fitted, too.

Damn, I need some quality shop time.

coworker's hubby decided he's "always" wanted to make a RR spike knife.
I couldn't talk him out of it, so while watching him bash defenseless metal into submission, I converted a horseshoe into a pair of knife-like objects.

Finish Him!

Was supposed to take a few days outta town starting this morning. Medical Adventures intervened, but I got to spend most of the day in the shop instead:

Also, Christmas (Labor Day?) for a knifemaker looks like this:

12ft of AEB-L and 3ft of S35VN!
