Beckerhead Knife Making and Modification Thread

I've been busy, working, and sick. Crappy part is I decided to make a couple knives for Christmas presents. I've got one almostly done ish. I'll post pictures; eventually.
 
When I made my first knife, I didn't realize I was picking hand sanding as a hobby.

Hopefully when I get better, I'll have less of it to do.

Bwahaha! I'm pretty sure hand sanding will still be a big part of your hobby. Like woodworking - I love the cutting and fitting and joining, but the project is never done until the tedium of sanding and finishing is done. I don't get a lot of projects done, needless to say.

I do a lot of my sanding on my belt grinder. I imagine the blades turn out a lot nicer looking with a hand sanded finish. I however like the perpendicular lines on the bevel. I want to make nice blades but not so nice that people don't want to use them.

Most of my hand sanding is on my handles but Julio is telling me there are techniques to reduce that and still look great. I've seen his work and ur does look good.
 
Just curious if anyone has a project in the works that they would like to show off?

I've been focusing on my leather for the last couple months. However I do have a couple few knives I need to make and finish. I don't remember if I posted my necker knife prototypes.
