K-9, sorry for your loss.

Can anyone suggest a place online to check my credit report that is safe?

I believe the actual credit reporting agencies are required by law to give you your credit report.
Equifax, yadda, and yadda.

Sorry for your loss K-9. I've lost a few dogs in my day and they were all better than most people.

On a positive note, happy birthday Derek!

Well, I gotcha beat.
Today I put down my retired K-9 partner who just turned 16 last week. Deaf, nearly blind, and lately having difficulty controlling bodily functions. It was time, but it still sucks really, really bad.
:sorrow:

Sorry to hear that, K9, my condolences :(

can't bring a knife to church? wrong church for me.

i know people who bring their guns. they're not sheeple.

I carry a full sized 1911. The one advantage to button up shirts is their ability to conceal well (enough).

Starting to put together an EDC bag as my daily needs have been occasionally exceeding what I can fit in my pockets and I am in a multitool struggle:

Victorinox Swisstool VS. Leatherman Wave VS. Leatherman Supertool 300. Recommendations? Haven't owned any of the three before but I am interested in them.

The Wave is very capable. I've looked at the other two in the past and iirc, they are much heavier so unless you have some heavy duty tasks, the Wave should have you covered. That being said, you should also consider the Swisstool Spirit X. Lighter and slimmer than the Wave with almost all the functionality and you can access everything except the pliers with the handles closed. Although its not easy for me to admit, I'd say its a little better for simple day to day light tasks. I've had a leatherman for probably 20 years but I think Victorinox did a great job with this one. The only negative is that it doesn't come with the ability to use other bits for things like your Becker scales.

And Happy Birthday, Derek!

Happy Birthday Derek!

On a different note, I haven't tried the others, but my Wave goes with me everywhere I go. It's one damn handy tool.

Sorry to hear about your pooch K-9

Happy B-day Derek

I'll drink a cold one tonight in both of your honors!

Can't say much about the swisstool, it's been more than 9 or 10 years since I've held one. It seemed like a solid tool and had ample blades and implements to handle military needs. I have a wave and a Super Tool 200(discontinued). Like BKOregon says, the super tool is a heavy beast. If you're set on a heavy duty tool, go with the Surge. Mine was the greatest multi-tool I've ever carried. The wave rides in my Jeep or on the Harley. The super tool stays in my daily carry pack.

Have a happy one D-Rock! Enjoy a few cold ones!

And thanks for the suggestions guys, weight is a non issue with this one as it won't be carried on my person. In fact if I go with the Wave the set of spare bits will ride in the bag also along with maybe a couple other tools, a fixed blade as I can't carry one concealed on my person, Nalgene, duct tape, etc. I've checked out the Swisstool Spirit but the thing that draws me away from it is the goofy serrated butter knife looking thing. I believe the Spirit X does not have that though...lots to mull over as I don't have the budget to try out a couple of them.
