So, I never thought the day would come when any place (other than a School or Airport or government building) would have a problem with an SAK.... I was at Youth Group at my church and when I pull out my SAK to open a bag of cups (one of those heat sealed bags that will stretch from one room to another before breaking) our youth minister flipped $#!+... I didn't even use the 1.5" blade, I used the phillips head screw driver! Then she ordered me to hand it over until the end of youth group and threatened to kick me out if she ever saw me with another knife there again... (all this coming from a woman who severely broke her own dress code 3 times in a row)

Anyone thoughts?
Did she give the knife back at the end of the day? If not, have your parents get it back and don't take it back. While most churches (in my experience) don't have any rules on knives but usually there are laws about bring a knife (any knife) onto the grounds of a church.

it's O1.
Oxide - you need to talk about this with your folks so they can take it to the church elders.
If there was never a rule about knives, then she was out of line - if there is a rule about no knives and you had one anyway, you were in the wrong.
If she can't follow the church's dress code/rules concerning modest dress, then she has no business being a youth group leader.
Beautiful knife man! Love his designs, have yet to get one.

Hmmm what to do at 8:30.......I think I remember seeing a big chunk of oak in the shop, maybe I'll go make a big strop since I don't seem to have one left. Friends make the worst thieves at times, I guess I should make uglier strops from now on.
Hey there old buddy old friend...
nevermind, it's just the washing machine on spin...

Yes, I actually looked out the window.
Dude, you SERIOUSLY need to balance the clothes in the washer if it feels like a chopper overhead!

Thanks Cbear, I like it a lot.
This knife is actually of my own design..
John is great to deal with and if you are in the business for a custom blade, I suggest giving him a look.
Pretty reasonable prices too.

So, my parents decided they needed a go-bag. My mom got a Kelty-44 pack from one of those Sale-a-Day sites that sounds like mute for $35. I told her she also needs to get a good sturdy knife to keep in there. I had brought my bag down to show her options. As I was opening the bag she says "I want a Becker." I was so proud. We decided on getting her a FFG16.

My sister is now carrying a 14, my brother is carrying an 11 and a 14. My dad is carrying a Spydie (d-ohh).

I would suggest just leave the knife at home in the future. And trust me, that is NOT something I usually recommend. I am usually carrying at least 3 knives.
