Beckerhead patches

By the way, the olive drab I used above seems a bit too green to me, but I used the correct HTML notation of #6b8e23 when I made it.

That's a great idea I'd like a shirt. Or a hat done like that. I don't have a Becker number but my BK2 is one of my best friends. Mr. Becker made this set of knives so awesome.

Thanks man. It's amazing what you can do with a program like GIMP, once you learn a few things. Definitely a learning curve to it, but worth it. I'm only capable of doing a fraction of what the program is capable of.

Everything is done in layers. The font on one layer, the border on another, the background on one, the knife on one, etc. Each layer, I gave a little "noise" to, which distorts the edges a bit, and gives it the appearance of cloth. The pattern in the OD, believe it or not, was achieved by a pattern I made, from the grippy part of the old Becker micarta scales I had on my Cam 10. I cut a piece of the pattern out from a photo I took of it, then made what they call a seamless repeating pattern. I simply filled the area up on one layer, and "bumped" the imprint of it into the OD layer. Crazy...
 
I like both mockups (basic 9 and two - the can't not have a 9 is probably overkill), Dubs.
As far as size, it would depend on the image used...the one with the BK9 over the text would probably end up in the 2x5 range, If not 2.5x6+ (at least according to my skewed eyes)

Can't not have a 9 is definitely overkill. It would never show up. The sizes you mention are damn close. The smaller version I did on the previous page, when I click on the copy I have on my PC with the Fastone MaxView program, quotes a size of 2.03 x 5.33".

It would be cool and I would use it more often if we could get hats with that emblem on it maybe even on the back of the hat the you can't not have a nine quote..... idk they are all cool bro nice job!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks man. Someone (I think maybe the 710) had some BH hats made. I have one, plus a BH t-shirt, I think the 710 had made as well.
