Beckerhead patches

Cool concepts. I wonder if it might serve to revive the nature of what being a Beckerhead entails. To be honest, I'm not even sure if it is a status that is achievable, let alone something that is still meaningful these days.
 
Looking at other ideas and custom logo water bottles would be cool as well....

I agree tho I'd buy one maybe two of anything that happens.....

Oh Paddy... It's still achievable. And more meaningful than you can imagine. You fella's be patient a little longer. It'll be worth the wait!!

Oh I'm patient, I'm mostly just curious. Seems things are just quiet on that front which can lead to the speculation of wandering minds.

For one thing, there are A LOT more Beckerheads now. Plus the people that are in the 100s and 200s had to wait as well. There are only a limited number of moderators (the ones who approve the posts), and of the moderators only a limited number approve requests and this is done non grata so you can't really be mad that it takes a while.

We've done water bottles and beer growlers, both were a flying success!

How about the same patch style but you choose which Becker blade you want in it. That way a Beckerhead can display which knives they have. I would buy maybe 2-3 patches with the Bk9. But I would buy 12 right now. One for each of my blades minimum. Every now and then maybe Mr E could autograph one for a contest giveaway. Thoughts?

That would cost a lot to have done.
 
I think the expense of having that many different patches made would be prohibitive...but maybe people would be willing to pay the price.

(Keep in mind that we're talking a relatively small order size to begin with... then add in set-up costs for each variation, and likely minimum quantities of each)
 
Yes initial start up cost would be expensive. But once the program is written for the sewing machine then its all minimum order cost after that. I for one would be willing to preorder. Test the waters per say. Get a feel for the quantities needed. And work a bulk order price as a bargaining incentive to the manufacturer. I have no fewer then 6 custom makers within 20 miles of my homestead. If I had some numbers I could put in some face time with them.

Man, I really hope I'm not coming across as mad or even as a whiny b****. Because I'm not mad at all, it was simply an observation on my part, which seems to have only served to put my ignorance on display.

I know the mods are busy and have lives and jobs outside of managing us rabble rousers so I certainly don't blame them for the lengthy process. Good things come to those who wait, or so the saying goes...

Ethan, I would love a patch. I am almost a beckerhead, I applied a couple months ago. Hopefully that is good enough for a patch. ;)

Edit to add; I am now Beckerhead #2611 and would LOVE a patch. :D

I don't see an email option on the new forum myself. I have his email addy, but I don't think I should post it. He probably wouldn't care, tbh, but it's not mine to give.
