A question...... Does anyone have pix of the incredible Heart Knife that. TM Hunt was so kind as to gift me........ I am incredibly grateful Todd ...... That is one incredibly beautiful blade....... It has permanent place on the "look at this" display in the living room ......... Truly a treasure, my friend...........

I don't have one from the gathering, but I stole this one from Todd.

Hey Ethan, If you remember that knife is the one I hand forged at your shop in the spring, then broke it due to the inclusion we found in the steel. So, I started over on it. Here's the thread with the story on it with pics for anybody thats interested.

And just for the record, you owe me no thank you. It was my pleasure to give it to you. You have done so much for us and this community. It doesn't even begin to repay what you deserve. Enjoy it my friend.

Myself, I like this pic.

Not just because my good looks grace it but to me it kinda captures what Ethan says about when you want something done at the gathering, it just happens. I was forging a small butter knife for my wife and I wanted to twist the handle. I may have, but I dont remember asking Vik to help me do it. I just got it to that point and raised from the flame and there he was waiting to grab it with the pliers to help me. Pretty cool.
This is also par for the coarse when I comes to Vik. The man goes out of his way to be helpful and gracious to everyone. This years Blade show was a big success and Vik was a big reason for that. So, id like to have this pic to hang in my shop............

The fact the James Terrio is in the background watching over just insures that the pic will be worth a lot of money some day. ;)

It will probably be more valuable if you have someone photoshop me out of it :p :D

Looking over this thread is causing post gathering empty nest syndrome.....!!!!..... I was very sad when the last ride went down the hill......That was Chance, Laura and Remington, Monday at Noon.......... As our British cousins might say I had a smashing good time........ My eyes and mind were pleased every where I looked all weekend..... This's one was real stressless......... Thanks to the best guests anyone could find anywhere I had a flat ton of fun.......

Ethan

I'm quite confident to say on behalf of all of us, the pleasure and honor was ours, Ethan. Thank you.

Much respect, much love and many homegrown bread'n'butter pickles.

;)

It looks like y'all had a lot of fun. I hate that I missed it but I look forward to seeing some of you again at Blade next year if we don't get to plan any other gatherings.
