Beckerheads GAW, Puppy has been named!!! Thanks to ALL.

FUZZBALL!

Just like I said in the other thread. And you can tie in your sci-fi (Laugh it up, Fuzzball. - proper to use when he just pooped on the carpet and turns and yips at you). It's not profane. Children can scream 'fuzzball' all over the neighborhood and not have issues. It seems VERY appropriate for that cute lil guy, and since akita's don't get very big and do stay fluffy...

I cannot decide if I'm pleased or disturbed by the fact that Nikki already mentioned all my ideas. She may or may not be my long-lost sister... which is a whole other saga.

Anyway, I vote for Sushi, because it's a cute name in and of itself... it just sounds cute. Also, c'mon... that's freakin' funny.

Either that or James. James is a pretty cool name, too.

Yo Joe.

Any connection with your username?

Lol....figured someone would get it. No connection with the user name. Just a name I always thought was cool since I was a kid. Always stuck in my head.

"Snakebreaker" is a principle of disarming your opponent that dates way back. To take away or immobilize his weapon. De-fang the snake......break the snake.

How about Zuru for Japanese gold medal winner(Yuzuru Hanyu) in skating? SIAP did not read entire thread

(or some other derivation of name)

Cute pup!

He looks like a handful so I would name him Ruckus.
Or Scrambles the death dealer.

I will post more names when I think of more.

Jeremy

Just thinking of a few more:

Hattori Hanzo
Jake
Elwood
Travis Bickle
Col. Kurtz
Maximus
Leonidas

Yep, totally looking at my movie collection:)

Congratz on the dog, WW!

I'd go for McLovin, hands down.
Or, you know, since it IS a shiba... DOGE

wow
so scare
much amaze

Not really a ding on Nikki, but I can't believe someone might suggest Vorkosigan as a name for a pup. I mean considering the series (which I was required to read in college) was perhaps some of the worst sci-fi I ever HAD to read. Anyway....

Scout is a good one! I have a pup named Scout but she's female named after the character in To Kill a Mockingbird.

Just came home with the puppy. He is awesome. Really quiet and still while we were in the car for the hour and a half ride..... but as soon as i set him down in the house he was playing all over the place. He likes the kids quite a bit too, right now he is just chilling next to my daughter. But he makes it pretty clear that he doesnt like to be held. He will start to whine and try to maneuver out your hands. He likes some petting, but again when he is done he lets you know it. He is going to be a handful, but it looks like he is going to fit in great.

Was me. And I liked the series.

Wish I'd a had a college course that had Sci-Fi as required reading. Now you want some BAD Sci-Fi? Try L. Ron Hubbard's 10 volume "Mission Earth". That is some truly atrocious stuff. :barf::barf::barf:

I thought it was pretty good, overall. Especially compared to some of the 6000+ Sci-Fi/Fantasy books I've read.
