Beckerhead's Other Choppers

Here's about a third of them. :D

It is an outstanding chopper for such a lightweight knife. Very comfortable to use for hours and you can do lots of small tasks with it. One of my favorites indeed.

I have no doubts. She's a sexy beast she is.

Busse BWM is a great chopper. Don't own many choppers. Actually think it's just the BK9 and BWM.

Lots of nice stuff in this thread.

Haven't gotten a chance to use her yet, but she at least looks like a chopping machine:

I love this thing.

Jeremy

It is indeed the "metal beaver". That thing is an outrageous wood eating machine.

I have a few:

Not pictured are my Outcast, Buck Hoodlum, BK21, CRKT Halfachance.....I will say the Brute is a decent chopper once you fix the edge. The Junglas is probably my favorite non-Becker of the knives pictured, but the Condor Boomslang is a close second and the value leader. I'm really getting to love the 21....

....though the Machax is my favorite large woods bumming tool. Too much good steel out there. Incidentally, the Outcast and the Hoodlum were both purchased from Bill Siegle....he put a serious edge on that Outcast.

And here's a Camillus BK6 Patrol Machete blank that was ground and heat treated by TMHunt.

I wish they sold these just like this!

Got many that have been mentioned already, but my go-to truck riding companion is a Condor Boomslang with a thinned and convexed edge, thing sure does make the chips fly fast. Besides our obvious BK favs, I'll give a nod to the Junglas, SYKCO 911 and Viper Carnera.

The cutlass machete is my current favorite chopper. Light, quick, compact and really sinks. Excellent sheath is a bonus. Can't beat the price either.

On a side note, if you ever see one of these in a junk shop, flea market or granny's knife drawer..snag it. The best machete sharpener you can find.

It's called a "Crystolon" and they are superb for field touch ups.

5160 m43 khuk clone, done up quick so I could sell the original

Becker gripped pinuti, along with a Cebuano pinuti

Differential hardened forged 5160 JEST w/black garolite scales done up to look like horn

And a really monstrous Filipino bolo that gave me a lot of inspiration-10" blade, 3/8" to 1/8" distal, 16-1/2" OAL.
