Beckers seem to be drying up...

I thought about getting a BK9 several times over the last few months. Unfortunately I've allowed the dreaded "need" to influence me, as I don't really need it. Given that I have a BK7 and a Kershaw Outlaw, it's tough for me to justify the expense that could go toward ammo!

I hae checked several times at online stores, looking for items for my collection, and I have noticed that a lot of knives are getting hard to find instock. The Yello-Jaket line, Gran'pa are a couple.
I am still looking for a BK1. One place said they are waiting on an order that might be here in December. At what price tho, I have no idea........

I don't have a 911 address for UPS, so everything I buy has to go to the post office. I live waaaaayyy up in the sticks.
I will find one sooner or later, it's all a matter of cost.

Sorry about that. I figured you'd be able to pick up a BK-1 at one of the two. If I see a vendor that uses USPS, I'll let you know.

I bought another BK9 to add to my BK9 desert finish. The one from today has a sharpened swedge from the factory as part of a special run... more like a swan song, I guess.

The same place has one BK7 and three BK9's with the sharpened swedge remaining. I guess that will be it for them.

I've seen those sharpened swedge versions. They all have "HH" in the code, as in BK-9HH. Wonder what that stands for?

If I recall correctly, HH stands for Hog Hunter.

A very limited # were produced, I think in mid to late 2005.

Hope this helps.

Paddling_man, thanks, I ordered one. Almost ordered two, but decided someone else might want one.
Do you know how many are left by asking them, or is there a place at GP that shows what is available?

I was there in person. I looked at a couple of BK9s to select the one I wanted. I had considered the single BK7 they had remaining but it had "Friday Afternoon" grinds and a noticeable gouge in the pommel.

If the BK7 was at a good price, grab it and hit the local saw sharpening shop and have it cleaned up.

Great knife to play with for customizing.

I got the second BK1 I bought today (1st one wont every show up) and it seems to be an older one. It had Blue Locktite on the handle screws, the black epoxy that doesn't just strip off and a great edge. It is one hunk of steel that is for sure.

Karsten, you get that one from Wood Tech or somewhere else?

Private individual on Ebay where I beat Mountian Wind out. I think maybe there are into hiking, mountianeering as they had a alot of gear like it had been tested and put up for sale. The BK1 had maybe cut a small branch ot two and been put away as it still had the factory grease on the blade.

Pass on the Wood Tech Info to Mountian Wind so he can grab one if it is still available.

There is one BK1 left on Ebay but it is his last and he bumped the price to retail at $123.99.

BK7's are going fast, seems to be a few BK2 and 10's here and there but they are getting pricy. BK3's seem to be plentiful for the time being or until someone starts grinding on one and make a GP knife out of a pry bar.
