Seems to be slowing down around here. I go to the front page when I load Bladeforums and I had to scroll further than halfway down to find a thread from BK&T. You people on vacation or what?

I think its been a little slow without Thrillbilly. Anybody heard from him lately? I pm him a couple of days ago and "nadda"!

Morning gents, got the day off. Laundry, haircut, shooting, sleeping. In that order :D

Just laid out a pattern of mustard on my Camp Cleaver. See how it looks in a few hours. If I don't care for the way it looks, it'll get sanded off, and I'm going with a apple cider vinegar bath.

I am alive. And even making a couple sheaths at night when it cools off some.

the brother's wife decided the house needed remodeling before we can work on the ''fun stuff'' outside. So I have been yanking carpets and stripping trim and everything else off the walls. Gonna install hardwood flooring and redo the drywall before we paint it. At least it's in the A/C!

Been hotter then a whore's cheeks in church here this week, and supposed to heat up more this weekend.

Dang boat is in the shop, waiting on some electrical part for the motor.....

Meh, not crazy about the way the mustard patina looks. Gonna give it a few more layers, see if I can make it look any better.

Im heading out tonight for another 4 day camp. The forecast is over 100 for the next day, then thunderstorms and 90 degrees. The humidity is going to be horrible. Low and slow will be my goal for this one!

Sounds awesome, except for the heat. Stay safe, and have fun.

Glad to see you are safe bubba... Are you still looking for those beads? I sent you a message on Facebook (yes that was me) but I never heard back. I'll PM you my number, give me a call or drop a text when you get a chance.

Make sure you stay hydrated man. Get some Gatorade or something to take with you. In this heat it's really frickin easy to get heat stroke and not even recognize how dangerous it is.

Warrior, glad to hear you are about to be back to work. Is this going to be permanent till next year? Oh, and don't get any great ideas about "things" you can dip in chocolate to make them more appealing to your wife... The chocolate REALLY burns.

Went for a float yesterday down our local White river. Started at Azalia and paddled down to Seymour. Not sure of total mileage, but hr wise it took forever. We had 4 new to kayaking/canoeing people and the river was way low, exposing all kinds of debris. We set out at 1230 and made it to Seymour at about 845 -9. Good trip, but damned warm out.

Our boaters, minus myself. My ol lady, her daughter, two of her nieces, her mother(it was her bday) , her brother and myself.

Some of the aforementioned debris. Down river was to the right of the pic. We actually portaged here.

The Seymour iron bridge about 1/2 mile from the end.

Sounds like a good day, except mine would go something like this: Shooting, sleeping, haircut, more shooting, and "woman, is my laundry done yet?" :D

*disclaimer* I can only say that because my wife doesnt see what I post here...if so, I would probably be ducking bullets... :D

:) I woulda gone shooting first, but I'm waiting on my brothers. I never did get that haircut since I spent all my money on ammo :D

Cool pics Murph. To put in perspective for the good people of bf. I took that exact route Sunday afternoon. It took me 8 hrs. However I have done it in 3 before when the water was higher and rushing. Where we take out on this trip is less than a mile from my house.

Hey Todd, do you remember the mileage? What's really sad is that the time it took us to do that yesterday, we did the same but from Columbus to Seymour a couple years ago.

Naw Murph I don't. I looked it up on a gps a couple of years ago but I've had a couple of beers since then. Come to think of it. I think they where your beers!
