it's a bit thick...
1/16" (0.063") is nice for smaller stuff. 3/32" (0.094") for most everything else unless you want kydex on your broadsword.

It will work, but I'd go with 7/8 out of personal preference. I think it gets that micro convex much nicer than a thinner piece.
 
Im still at the Lake of the Ozarks might stay a few more days. The bad part is I didnt bring any Beckers, just my Buck Vantage Pro and the Swamp Rat Rodent Solution in a Skystorm BK14 sheath. I have been doing quite a bit of paddling up the little Niaugia. Super dry here and Im only a few hours south of home. Glad we have had more rain.

Well one the tip got burned and snapped about 1/8 of an inch off it.
2: It didnt turn out exactly how I wanted
3: im too cheap to buy a belt grinder and it ended out all wavey( straightened out with a file as best an I could.

I think im just going to buy a grinder tomorrow.

dang. that sucks, I kinda feel bad about the poor Esky.
 
Gave my wife a choice of the 15, 16, or 17. She picked the 17, I can only assume, because it has a nice point for stabbing me.
