Well, I'm screwed. UI was canceled, the judgement went against me, and they want their money back. Too bad I don't have it. :D

Gotta find a night shift job or a very early morning job to sustain my family. Let's hope there is one out there, hasn't been one yet, so.........

One good thing about being at the bottom, there's only one way to go.....

Good luck finding something Moose. How the heck can they pay unemployment for a while and then all of a sudden decide they want it back? They should check those things out before they start paying. That has to be frustrating as heck.

A little change for me today. I've been driving a straight truck with a van body on it for the last 5 years hauling mail and today I'm jumping back into a semi. I've hauled some grain around in a semi over the last 5 to help out a friends boss, but really haven't put much time in pulling a trailer around. I'm kinda excited to jump in and get going again. My only part I'm halfway worried about is the dock I have to back into tonight is pretty tight and I'll be backing along a wall with maybe a foot between the wall and the trailer. :confused:

I can appeal it, but we've been doing this dance for the last 3 months. My former employer is really fighting, and now, the burden is upon me now. Which makes it more difficult.

Its a lose/lose situation, IMO. I can fight for another 3 months and probably not win, I only needed some help for another month or so, until the girls go back to school. Then I can focus my efforts in finding a good day job.

Oh well.

Will it cost you to appeal? If not, I'd appeal anyway, just to piss him off and cost him some legal. It also will buy you some time, correct?
Doesn't mean you can't keep looking. And when you find work, you'll have the satisfaction of knowing you stuck him as long as you could.
 
Sorry to hear Moosey! Your a smart guy. Something will come up im sure. I was layed off a few years ago. Got unemployment. it was over the summer which was pretty cool. Now my work has cut us to the bone. Im litterally making the same money i made when i was on unemployment, but have to come in everyday! lol! how the hell does that work? Like you said Oh Well!

It won't cost me anything but time, but since the judgement went against me, I won't receive any benefits until I am ruled in favor for.....

Now that the burden of proof is on me, and I already have a judgement against me, I'd have to put my lawyer into it, to go much further, and he will cost me. Until now, he's been "consulting" over the phone, not getting directly involved. If I put him in it, I gotta start paying him and lawyers are like hookers, good ones ain't cheap.

I'm still trying to figure out which way to go next, I got a little scratch to cover my ass for a brief time, but I gotta make something happen.
