I propose a truncation policy for mid-week holidays.
All remaining weekdays are paid days off.
What say you?
Will someone second the motion?

Great. no one talks to me anymore.....

I talk to ya, ya old fart. ;) :D

Had a nice time yesterday evening. Went to the father in laws, had a bunch of family over, and by God, I didn't have to grill for the first time. Don't get me wrong, I love to grill, but not when it's 100° out. ;)

Took a short trip yesterday with Christina, her daughter and her two nieces. Only about a 3.5 mile trip because it was her daughters first time paddling her own kayak.

Found the Eagle's nest about 1/2 mile in. No eagles in it, we'd see them later fishing though.

The river was very calm and low.

The girls went swimming, but I found a recently downed tree to beat Derek's Sheila against.

We spotted a Barlow Naval aircraft carrier on expedition. No squids aboard though, they must have been on shore leave.

Looks fun Murphy... surprised the U.S.S. Barlow didn't have tater cannons fore and aft!

G'Morning peeps

Tater guns are standard armament on light cruisers. That's a carrier. The buzzards are all airborne just looking at the pic.

I was just cleaning out my truck.... And I realized something. Between the guns, ammo, knives, tools, gear, food and water I have in there...I could probably rebuild civilization.

I always keep a overnight bag in there, and a sweatshirt and a coat.
I have always believed in keeping a lot of basics in my vehicles. I keep First Aid, Enough water to fill a radiator or live off of for a couple days, usually some snacks and a few packs of Ramen, always a firearm and ammo (at least one), a couple knives, the tools and spare parts to fix most small things on my truck or to do field repairs on about anything. An axe, bowsaw and shovel...lots of times a chainsaw too, 5 gallons of gas, jug of anti-freeze, few quarts of oil, jumper cables, tow-chain, ratchet straps... It's crazy how much junk I have behind the seat and in my toolbox!

what's even crazier (to me anyways) is I know TONS of people who dont have ANYthing in their rig..some are lucky to have the tools to change a flat tire!

Random Rambling, sorry LOL just was on my mind I reckon

Huh... wonder if I have the tools to change a flat... they would have come with the truck.
I do have my own bag of tools, tie-downs, etc., but have never pulled out and inventoried the stuff that came with the vehicle.

It should have a CRAPPY scissor jack, and a CRAPPY one-way. possibly an even worse FOLDING one-way lug wrench from the factory. I will not use factory tools to change a tire. I throw 'em away and use a good four-way wrench and a hi-capacity floor jack. Same with the spare, I won't have a donut, I carry a full-size spare.

I bet its a hickie!

I don't have quite that much in my car Ogre. However I do have a 3.5ton floorjack, chocks, a spare tire (a space saver of course), and a 4 way. I hate using the factory "space saving" tools. However the place I get my tires from has a no questions asked AAA type program. I can call them anywhere within a 300 mile radius and they will send out someone from the local store to come change my tire, take me back to the shop and put a new one on, free of charge. SO, I don't actually have to use my tools :D

I just put on a lanyard for my Scrapmax. I did a non-adjusting lanyard with knots for small, medium, and large hands. I used 3 different knots too just to have some fun.

I bet its a hickie!

I just got a sheath on the lil Warnie Todd, Been wanting to carry it since I got it but The Fang is too sharp to carry without protection! LOL

I kinda like how it came out, not what I had planned, but works! I like free-handing sheaths, just let the blade dictate the shape...refreshing change from making ''factory'' sheaths. I tried to make it as minimal as possible, Kinda wish I had some .60 kydex, but I don't think the .80 has enough more weight to notice without using a gram scale.

I will use it for a neck knife mostly, days like today when Im in a tshirt and shorts with no pockets, a neck knife really comes in handy! That's the only way I could carry a knife today, unless I clip a folder onto my waistband.
