BeckerWest 2011 - Who will be attending?

Want to start getting a head count for the event, besides the big man asked me for it within the next two weeks. here's the link to the original thread and all the thoughts and planning , along with the contests for knives.

Contests - Saturday
1) Chopping 9am - 10 am ish - Winner gets a BK9
Judged on how fast you can chop through a 4 x 4 ish sized hunk of wood. I'll get someone to count the number of strokes as well as having someone run a timer.
2) TomaHawk Throwing -Noonish- Winner gets a BK 11
Nick is gonna do this one, the rules are gonna be a surprise.
3) Traps & Snares - Weekend long contest, judged sunday morning. Winner gets a BK2. Judged on functional ability, uniqueness of desin. More points for different types of traps/snares put into use. Person who catches something probably wins.
4) Fire 4pm -5pm - winner gets a BK. gonna be a speed contest. who can boil a cup of water fastest. Bring a metal cup for 8oz of water. I have one more little twist I'll throw on at the begining of the contest. Have your fire starters ready.

Also to add to the contests previously mentioned, I'd like to see a scary campfire story contest. The person who tells the best story around the campfire about some wierd or freaky thing they witnessed or heard about wins this contest. Re tell a story you heard as if it were your own or a real story from your experiences. thought I'd give you folks a few weeks to get something together. One of the things I like the most about the woods is a campfire and the conversation that goes along with it. Usually ends up with bear stories, big foot or aliens, something like that.

(left turn) Fisk Rd. Approx .5 mile gate on the right.

Note
There will be firearms present. They will be carried in holsters and loaded. Your loaded, holstered firearms are very welcome at this event. There is an excellent area to shoot these firearms if you wish it.

I will not be attending this year.

I have to wash my hair. :D

That and its all the way across the damn country. Nothing like a brisk 48hr drive. :D

I'll be there in spirit though, so if you feel something rubbing your leg, don't worry, its just my spirit.

Put me down as a maybe. There's a wedding that weekend so I'm not sure if I can escape in time.

I talked to E yesterday on the phone and I got the impression there is a chance he may come out to one soon, possibly next year. He used to live in portland and has some affection for it. Besides he has some relatives possibly moving there soon.
 
I've locked in a guest instructor. D.C. to teach us how to process small game. He's gonna take a rabbit apart for us one night.
 
Updated. The Captain has agreed to stay off the grog long enough to judge this scary story contest. I swear folks, yer gonna have chicken skin over some of these stories. The story that really haunts her dreams wins.
 
i'd attend, but 3000 miles of travel and TSA? scary.
 
I'm gonna be working on the scedule of events for that weekend. Should be up in the next couple days. I'll modify the first post to reflect the scheduling. Now keep in mind, You don't have to do any of these contests or competitions. Hell you could show up wander off into the woods for two days and I'd be fine with that. I have gone to events like this before, with a list of let's say 8 contests and then 3 of the 8 didn't take place. I just want people to know what's happening and when its gonna be happening so they can participate if they want to. My real goal is to hang out and just have some fun and meet some good dude's.
 
Hey Oregon Fal'er, I think I am going to be able to attend. Don't have a Becker tho, but have a couple blades that will probably work.
