OK. I got switched up. It is Ethans this year, however, I would sure like to get out with yall in Oregon one year, that is where I was born with coal dust in my nose from a forge and a full set of teeth. You folks have a ball out there and I will try to get on the right thread.

That would be truly great if you could make it out for one of our events out here. We'll keep a spot cleared out for ya :D
 
Unfortunately I just heard today the dept. of forestry has forbidden open fires because of how dry it's been. Don't know all the details of this. We will for sure, get to do our fire building contest though. It'll happen on the gravel in the middle of the road or in a clear cut.

I am bringing a couple hawks and a couple axes to throw, so yeah we can still have some fun!!
 
Maybe I could jump a box car? That would be pretty sweet right? Wider how do I do that?
 
I have to work Friday. This is the start of my third week at this place. I really can't take Friday off. I'm trying to figure something out.
 
My thinking on the chopping contest is yes, use what you want. I've got a loaner Bark River Clax I may use. Though I'm not gonna compete in the contest.
I'll be doing a couple of dry runs friday.

Just put a call in to logan about the open fire versus fire pit deal.

Would you folks mind chiming in either here in this thread, PM or email when approx. you'll be getting there. I ask because The gate will be locked and I'd like to know who to expect and when.

I will put a sign on the gate . It'll say "BeckerHead" or something similiar. If you get to the gate and it's locked and don't wanna wait. You could walk up to the camp ground. approx a 1/2 hour walk. I'll figure out a schedule for checking the gate, leaving it open is not an option.
