Sure you can. Dangerous as hell though. Maybe we can fake lock it, but I didnt think anyone was even gonna get there till dark though.

My plan was to show up early afternoon on Friday.

Maybe a combo lock could placed on it? you could forward us the code?
 
If you have one of the handheld radios you could pick a channel and folks could call for gate service. Of course that's assuming most would have a radio. Or maybe play bury the key nearby so folks can unlock and lock as needed.
 
I'll fake lock the gate. It's one of those heavy duty gates with a big old shroud around the lock, you know the ones you gotta reach up under to put a key into. When you get there and see the sign, reach up under there pull the lock out and open the gate, pull forward, stop , close the gate and put the lock back on it. Just don't close the lock all the way. Starting about 2pm I'll check the gate every 2 hours or have someone check it.

12am
2am is last call unless someone for sure is coming later than that.

My CB will be on channel 3

I do not get cell service out there. I will provide a number for one of my friends who does if you all ask for it on a PM.

I've been thinking about this today, I was thinking there should either be a size limit like 9" or 10" , or just have a whole seperate class for everything above 10". The problem is I don't have enough prizes to give away for two chopping contests.


I'm learning as I go, as I learned from lonesome dove "You can't expect top quality your first time out".

I should have finalized these contests awhile ago.

So' 10" limit on chopping blades? What say you?

Just a quick note to say that I hope y'all have a fantastic weekend........That a GOOD time be had by each and every one........

I will try to make next fall's get together......I wish to hell I was going to be at this one.......I have to settle for going to visit Jeff Randall at his "camp out......

Gonna be workin' till 630 tonight. I'll check in real quick after work then I'm gonna head up to the property.

Cheese cake is in the oven as we speak. I'm also bringing stuff to make chocolatebananamarshmallow goop. I'll be headed there straight after work, I sure hope we figured a way to have fire!
