Want to see a few really expensive knives that I've ruined....:(:(:(
Threw an Emerson Traveler right in the trash a few weeks ago after a "regrinding incident".

Ouch!

I am such a newbie that I do my Sharpmaker and maybe a whetstone. If that doesn’t work... professional help needed.:)

P.s. LOVE to see what you have ruined. Be a good PSA for me when I get more cocky with my sharpening....

Ruined is relative to my personal OCD-ness.
Most of the time I get them right but when I don't I can usually correct my mistakes but I do ruin any chance of breaking even on resale (always full disclosure on sales).
A few that I couldn't get right I've sent to REK for regrinds and Josh fixed them right up.
I just need to quit my messing around...or MAYBE...manufacturers should get the @#!*ing grinds right at the factory!!

First of many tonight. B@$t@rds blindsided me and whacked me in a “Workplace Reduction” a couple of hours ago.

All good though as I wasn’t having fun anyways and they didn’t bone me too badly.

Now time to get to work around the house for a few months.

I find that to be the case with many IPAs.;) I like them but whowee some are bitter. One of the sickest times ever had in my life was after drinking around a case of squatters double ipa and eating pizza. People were quite disappointed in me with the vomit soaked mess made in their camper. I'm somebody that can really hold their liquor, but my god did I learn that day not to be sucking down tremendous amounts of ipa.

Anyways, having oatmeal for breakfast.

For me, I just can’t stand the taste of any stout I’ve tried. I love the IPAs, though. Never had one I didn’t like until that Voodoo Ranger. As far as getting sick goes, I guess I am lucky. I’ve never once had a hangover. They just don’t happen to me for some reason. I’ve also never got sick no matter how much I’ve had. There may have been a few times in my younger days that I pretty much ended up passing out, but never got sick or had a hangover afterwards.
