Beer and Blades!

Beer at 11:30 in Ottawa? Sure. I’m on vacation!

Hop City HopBot IPA on draft. Solid 8/10.

Head out to the Cheshire Cat inn. It’s in Carp. A little drive, but some of the best eats in Ottawa/area. Plus a solid beer selection. Arguably the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Their whisky sticky toffee pudding is bonkers as well.
Gotta get some shawarma too.
Bomb shawarma all over Ottawa.
Murray street pub has good eats too.
Kung fu bistro out in Stittsville, nears the Sens barn, has wicked Chinese food too.

Cool. Thx!

Staying DT at the Westin and not driving. And it’s snowing. :(

Anything near the PQ side you recommend? Gotta go pick up cheap Costco beer tomorrow and meet friends for dinner in Brockville.

I think there’s a casino over there that has a decent resto.
Other than that I don’t know.
There’s a fish and chips place in brockville that the locals love.
Fries are perfect, fish is average.

Kitchen knives get no love in this thread!

Henkels Pro 8” Chef’s. Probably my most used knife that I own - period.

Flying Fish Brewing - OctoberFish
Typical Octoberfest profile. Pretty good for the style. Don’t ask me about overtones, or any of that beer-nerd stuff, but I can tell you if it’s good, bad or somewhere in between. I’ll give it a solid 8/10. The Henkle get an 8.5
