How was the award winner?

Excellent, if you like coffee flavor, which pretty strongly overwhelmed usual beer taste. It tasted almost like drinking a cup of coffee.

Prince Of Darkness stout. Not particularly roasty or heavy bodied. It's sorta like a stout Lite.

Man, you are exactly right. That is one of Dallas original tap rooms, a brilliant beer-focused restaurant with full bar called The Meddlesome Moth. It is a neighborhood institution for 15+ years that is sadly closing in a week due to a rent increase.

Dang, bittersweet hopefully they're offering up cheap pours to empty the kegs, and you're able to find a new beer bar.

Luckily the Irish Pub close to home has a great tap selection with proper Guinness pours and rotating weekly selections!

That’s a real fricken’ bummer! I lived in Preston Hollow….The Moth was always the first stop on the way home from downtown.

Good to hear. I put a couple bottles of 2024 in the cellar to enjoy at a later date. My coworker gave them to me for Christmas. I’ve never aged them before so I’m anxious to try it, not sure how long to wait though.
