benchmade 710 returns for 2024

Wouldn't trade my original 710 in D2.

I got one of these reissue recently. not the top dollar one, but this cheaper one which wasnt really cheap. I like the 710 model own a handful of old ones and like s90v and had a bunch of points saved up from a dealer.

it's okay...this one colors are ugly to my eye but it's still a 710...I've already scratched the coating badly on the pocket clip somehow....

and pocket clip scratched....first time I've ever done that to any coated pocket clip...not even sure how..but oh well.....

A lot of people find this knife ugly, but I like it. A lot. Although, I'm agnostic about the brownish blade coating.

The S90V steel is a seriously good upgrade, if you actually plan to use the knife. For example, M390 has a well-deserved reputation as a premium, high-wear stainless steel. But S90V is 23 percent more wear resistant, while being 8 percent tougher. And toughness will amplify edge wear in real life. So S90V has an excellent balance of toughness and wear resistance.

It's even more wear resistant than a super wear-resistant steel like ZDP-189, while being tougher.

A premium steel like S90V in a classic, Axis-lock knife like the 710 makes for one darn good knife. I don't think I can resist.

yep, the price on all these 710 reissues are all wrong. the material colors are off to me. I do like s90v steel though and that I prefer....just without the butt ugly coating......

I'm really intrigued by the flat wire used for the Omega springs. It seems like it would greatly increase spring life.

I do agree with that, which would be a great idea across the entire Axis lock line, not just the 710.

They will probably release it across the line eventually. The axis lock was originally released on the 710 so they released the newer design on the seven ten 25 years later.
