Benchmade Bugout v. Mini Griptilian...

I've been carrying the same mini grip with tanto blade since early 2014 but have a mini bugout that sees a lot of pocket time. Both are great knives. I tend to carry the bugout when wearing shorts due to it's minimal weight.
I'd love to see a pic of your well used Grip!🤙

I mean, let's be real here for just a moment, alright; the better KNIFE is the mini-Griptilian. If you're looking for lighter carry, I get it. I totally get it, but that aside, the mini Grip is the better knife, and I think most everyone here agrees with that from what I've read.

IMO the Bugout is a better knife if you are looking for a slim and light EDC
The griptilian design is dated and you will like to change the grivory scales for something else
Even the Bugout scales feels better (even through if they are more flexible) than the griptilian’s scales
I sold both my large and small DR griptilian for a standard Bugout and I am very happy

Mini grip handle is waaaaay to small. It's a 3 finger grip in medium hands, ok maybe 3,5.

It's a shame as the knife is otherwise pretty much perfect.

Had several grips and Ritter grips large and small over the years. The handle on the small was a bit too small. I never could get a full 4 finger grip without a lanyard, and I’m not a lanyard guy. As far as the large, the handle was too thick for my liking, the older I get the more I prefer a slimmer knife. I never held onto Grips for very long.
I’ve had my Bugout for 4yrs now with no plans to part ways, just fits my needs better.

I’ve got to handle am all titanium bugout and an all carbon fiber bugout. I’ve owned a number of griptilians and handled many more and I’d say the bugout for typical EDC tasks. Nothing will ever replace a griptilian but for topical tape cutting, letter opening, sandwich cutting type EDC the bugout would be the knife I choose.

Oh? Can you baton a Mini Grip?

Congratulations on getting such GREAT service out of it.
And I hope you have many, many more years of good service!

Bugout hands down for me. The Mini Grip was too mini for me.

Funny, I never thought of a good knife being dated.
The Bugout can do everything the mini grip can, while being thinner and lighter.
Maybe you're right, but I reach for my mini Grip for harder and tougher tasks that I fear may be too much for my Bugout. I really hope that the Bugout is as tough as the mini Grip.
