Seriously?How?
Seriously?
If you live in a place that effectively bans guns, guess who you are paying taxes to. Top hint, the same government that has taken away your guns.
You conveniently forgot the "effectively" part I said. Review the conversation and you will see the state I was referring to.Bans guns? Where? What part of this country “bans” guns?
Actually, they're not. All donations listed on Open Secrets from Benchmade are identified as having come from individuals. All donations listed under Les de Asis are listed under his name with Benchmade listed as his occupation.
Benchmade employees donated to Kurt Schrader, who is the incumbent Democrat representative in their district and who is generally pro-2A, and someone inexplicably to Martin Heinrich, who is the junior senator from New Mexico and is also generally pro-2A.
Yup. There is a lot more to this than what people are willing to look into.Benchmade has been supporting land conservation laws on their social media for as long as I have been following them. They generally urge everyone to call their senators and representatives, and I'm sure many of their donations have been in line with these campaigns. For example, the most recent one they posted about, Senate Bill S.47, was introduced by a Republican senator from Arizona, but was also co sponsored by Martin Heinrich, among other Democrats and Republicans. There's a lot more to politics, politicians, and political donations than whether they are "pro-gun" or "anti-gun," and I believe Benchmade has been very upfront about their political support for land conservation laws, which I find very commendable.
Seriously?

Again, how deeply do people want to look into things? The hypocrisy could get embarrassing.
I'm not playing this game with you.I think you are misrepresenting “bans” versus “limitations”.
How many times have you seen a politician campaign on the abolishment of 2a and win?
I'm not playing this game with you.
I'm not playing this game with you.
I'm not playing this game with you.
Easy for you to say. I woke up and discovered my favorite knife was a damn socialist.I'm totally fine with Benchmade helping the police department destroy some illegal guns. They are just chunks of metal people, not sacred objects. America already has a lot of them and we are making more constantly.
As for the CEO supporting Wyden, I'm cool with that too, but then, I'm also a California hippy liberal
(and Bugout is one of my favorite knives to carry, go Benchmade! Wish I had had time to stop at your factory store when I was up there last year.)
(also, I'm fine with some of you folks deciding to not buy Benchmade any more because the CEO supports Wyden. That's your right and there are some companies I don't support for similar reasons. I do wish some of you wouldn't be so ... exuberant about it though.)
It's possible to be outraged at my state government and also at Benchmade. As for funding my state, what choice do I have? I can move somewhere else and pretend the Anti-2A agenda isn't going to follow, but it does. I choose to stay here and fight. So your tax money goes to fund anti 2a stuff as well. Again, how deep do people want to look at things? When do you not get outraged?
He's trying to play a semantics game and I'm not interested when the actual subject matter is so serious.Benchmade has made a MAJOR business error that I believe will cost them BIG bucks. I like their knifes and own many. I doubt they will find this a game after all the smoke clears. I agree with Mittenstatemashers and this is not a game as suggested by members with huge posts.
