Aren't the handles on this one G-10? I was between getting one or canceling my order for it. I know what I'm going to say as my reason for this will seem picky, and minor, but that's me.

AFAIK, this one is G10, all black (not black/blue).

I put a 30-degree edge on mine. It takes a while with this steel. But the edge gets very sharp, much sharper then the factory puts on it.

How specifically did you go about doing that? I sharpen all my BM's at the 40 degree setting on my Sharpmaker, and I am able to get them sharper than the factory sends them.

Yes it will, M390 has a very high carbide content and that means it's very wear resistant.
