Benchmade Model 805 with M390 Blade Steel

Right.........
Now back to BM for the correct sculptured scales.
1-2 week delay.
Worth the tiny xtra wait.
To me anyway.

Beautiful knife. Smooth action. Solid lockup. Centered. Good erogs. Nice high grind. Fast action. Great steel. Very sharp at 40 degrees inclusive. Perfect fit and finish.

Just got mine. It is pretty sweet, but I am not too sure. I will probably end up selling or trading mine. I guess I am too used to my old school TSEK with the G-10.

Solid and smooth. Not centered. Lots of other reports of not centered... :thumbdn: :thumbdn: :thumbdn:

are the handles the same grooved g10 like the russian tsek with the black & blue?

The writing on the blade looks like it was done by a six-year-old.

Why do Benchmade insist on doing this

That and the shiny pocket clip (with the rough edges) really detracts from what was a great looking knife.

I really like the sculpted G10 scales though

I got mine yesterday. It really was a surprise in getting it so soon, as well in how well built and finished it is. The Alignment is perfect, Opening and closing is smooth. Someone really took their time and got it right. It is even fairly sharp. I guess I'll keep it and use it.

I thought you canceled your order? :)

Aren't the handles on this one G-10? I was between getting one or canceling my order for it. I know what I'm going to say as my reason for this will seem picky, and minor, but that's me.

I had noted from the BM site that the 805 TSEK weighed in at 4.10 ounces, and this is the Axis Lock model. I just thought this was a heavier knife than that. Now I just read on another thread discussing this knife, that a poster weighed it and it weighed 5.25 ounces, which is still a little light, but acceptable.

So can anyone verify the weight on it?:)
