Benchmade MPR?

Wow, I' ll buy one of those 100% when it' s available, fantastic. Only problem is the tip-down but we' ll see what I can do about that;)

I thought Benchmade was only selling through B&M stores but the MRP is on knifecenter. Will new Benchmades be available online?

Many online stores are in fact modern day B&M. Why limit your business to walk-in clientele when you can multiply your business by doing it the 21st century way?

I think that's the only way to do it if you're a B&M store. Every knife shop that I've ever heard of that didn't have an online store has closed its doors.

Got mine on pre-order last night from The Knife Center.

I was a little confused about the specs also...just didn't add up. Shane's OAL is 9" and the blade is 4". So I'm guessing this will be "mini" version of the original. Which is even cooler. I've had my share of oversized knives and they're good for just about one thing. Might as well carry a fixed blade. And tip down is just fine with me....I can open my knife just fine by myself, there's no need for my pocket to do it and I haven't been convinced that's a knife opens that much faster with it being tip up.

My 2 cents of course.

I have one on "pre-order" as well. Can't wait to get this little folder.

I believe the reason this design is tip-down ... BM is trying to keep it "true" to Mr. Sibert's specs/original design. Mr. Sibert's original custom MPR was built as a tip-down carry design. Take Good Care and Be Safe Always.

I talked to benchmade Customer Service today and they advised the Specs on this blade and the blade length is actually 2.9 inches... I really look forward to picking one of these up..

I think I might get one of these too. Any estimated ETA on these?

Like a few others have stated ...my guess would be sometime after the Shot Show (fingers crossed) :o. Take Good Care and Be Safe Always.

I got one on Pre order at KNIFE WORKS. They have a killer price on them ($159 + shipping), you may want to check it out if you want one. I am so excited about this one.

I followed along with the gent above and pre ordered at Knifeworks for the $159 price, sounds like a heck of a knife!!

Already have mine ordered :)

As for the why in regards to blade length and tip down carry, I believe it is because the BM 755 is a faithful copy of Sibert's original MPR.
