  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

I recently visited a knife shop on a road trip and it had a huge case full of hand made knives. They were all beautiful and unique but wasn't really looking to buy that day. The owner asked if I knew about Benchmade, and I told her yeah but that i've never owned one. She walked me to the bench made case and gave me a tour of 20 or so different knives. I held them all, and looked them all over. I fell in love with this one. After a couple days being home, I couldn't help but buy one.

The factory edge was decent, a little uneven and had some grind marks left. I ran it through my workshop and stropped it. 17 degrees per side and mirror shiny.

the shootout is my all time favorite, good choice!

The only things I've changed was a pocket clip and custom Ti backspacer.
One of my faivourite edc knife.
yeah i swapped my clip for an old school benchmade clip. also threw a rift thumbstud on the show side with a regular stud on the back, which do with a lot of my knives. i like the longer stud to open it with but it tends to unintentionally wave the blade open when pulling it outta my pocket. this way i get the best of both worlds IMG_4166.jpegIMG_4167.jpeg
