Great pick
so i did a thing: 
swapped the blades out from my 940 & 12800. it actually went a lot easier than i expected it to. just switched the blades out, left the pivots and washers in the original handles. the action on both knives is smooth with only a small amount of lock stick in the 12800 blade/ 940 handle combo. both blades free drop with no blade play.
i especially like the 12800 blade in the 940 handle, think it looks and feels amazing. the 940bk blade in the 12800 handle looks pretty good too.
unfortunately the tip of the 12800 blade protrudes just enough to catch your finger on. so with regret i’m going to put everything back the way it was. after i play around with them a bit of course. it was a pretty cool experiment but i can’t see using it without cutting myself for sure. i’m clumsy that way
