Benchmade pictures

One of the clip screws is probably tighter than the other. Same with the pivot, it just needs to be adjusted a little. Just fiddle around with it until it's fixed. You ain't going to break anything...

If you're concerned, send Benchmade an email asking for a new clip and they'll send you one for free clip.

That is what I thought at first. I loosened all the clip screws and tried to tighten the clip down properly and that is not the problem. Either the clip is warped/bend to the side or it is just how the clip sits on the handle because of the shape of the handle.

If you just bought it, don't fiddle with anything! Send it in with a note expressing your concerns. I'm sure they will do the right thing for you, and NO, it should come to you put together with a typical Benchmade fit and finish.
Having said that, anybody can have a bad knife slip through the inspection once in a while. As I said, if you just bought it from a reputable Benchmade dealer, contact them first, but by all means send it in.

I agree. Honestly I have already decided to just keep it and deal with it myself. I have had to send in brand new knives I got faulty from the factory before and i'm sick of all the back and forth with customer service and paying for shipping while waiting to get my knife back worrying if it will get lost in the mail or not. By the time I get it back i'm over it and don't even wan't to carry the knife.

I did send both Benchmade and the dealer I got it from a e-mail letting them know, but i'm sure they will ask for me to send it in.

I could possibly change my mind about sending it in, but I doubt it.

I would have assumed it was due to the handle shape, I have a few other knives from various brands with similar contact area. Most knives/handles are designed with the clip added as an afterthought for convenience. This isn't a problem for me as I lift every clip away from the scales slightly.

Hello,

Here is my Griptilian. I also have a Adamas clip I am going to swap on in a couple days. I like it better since the bend is above the screws instead of below. It should stay tighter I hope. Also the Butterfly logo looks cleaner then the BENCHMADE logo I think..

I just got this clip, but do not think I will actually use it on this knife. The color scheme is a bit off. I was just seeing how it looked.
