I got one of the full size BM Ritter folders, S30V a few weeks ago. I've been carrying it and using alot. This is a fantastic design. I'm a lefty and I really like being able to set it up for left hand carry. The axis lock is very secure locking system.

I'm sure it's a nice knife Scott but I have to smile when someone who makes knives as awesome as you make would ever carry anything else !!!:D

Gossman PSK with Walnut handle slabs or BM Ritter folder.....mmm I know which I'd carry given the choice !!!!;)

As a lefty as well, it's good to hear that you are. Do you make your knives and sheaths lefty friendly?
Isn't it nice not to have to carry something backwards because it's only available in right handed versions.

I am not one much for folders but I have the full-sized Ritter Grip' and the "Mini." I always have one of the two on me in addition to whatever fixed blade(s) I am carrying. I convexed the large one but haven't gotten around to doing the small one. These two folders are the only folders I actually use and I love them. One of the coolest things, aside from being completely ambidextrous, is that I can open and close them even with gloves - WINTER gloves - on.

I know how much I like mine but it's good to hear such positive feedback from someone (Scott) who knows so much about tough, well-designed, well-made knives.:thumbup:

OH! Here's a pic of the little one before I got it dirty and in some very good company. That Farmer is a slacker - hanging out in my bag, loafing and adding weight. The ONLY knife I own just because I think it's "cool."

I love mine too! Though it bit me yesterday! Nearly took off the tip of my finger.

I've got a yellow handled Mini-RSK. It's quite nice.

I like the Axis lock because I can close the knife without putting my fingers in front of the blade. Awesome feature. MOD CQD knives are the only other ones I've seen that I could do that with.

Gentlemen,

I am always pleased when someone compliments my knives; helps make it all worthwhile. But it is humbling and a quite an honor when the compliments come from real knifemakers. I am always envious of your skills and talents and very much appreciate your kind words about my modest efforts. Thanks very much.

Nice to "see" you here, Doug.

If you ever need a new knife design tested, you know where to come! Seriously though, I got the Ritter Grip and a Lone Wolf D2 on the same day, as much as I love the D2, I just can't not carry my Ritter. I can't even carry my Leatherman anymore!

I always carry 3 knives, actually 2 knives and a multi tool. One of my fixed blades in the side tool pocket of my Carhartts or Dickies pants, folder clipped in my pocket and a Leatherman Wave. I do change knives once in awhile, but the Leatherman is a constant.
Doug, thank you for coming out with a great design. Benchmade knives are IMO, some of the best made folders out there. Also your knife was highly recommend by a good friend of mine who is well repected in the military and has used this folder extensively out of country.

I actually have two the larger RSK's...considering the price difference, I call it my "poor man's Sebenza":D Actually, due to the lighter weight, it's a better knife for backpacking and hiking and I love the wide blade profile. It's a top notch folder that I've always recommended.

As a knife & camera nut, I had to get a shot of my yellow Ritter Mini-RSK as I served as an election judge last night, I used it to officially cut the seal on one of the voting machines as we began counting ballots. :D

One of the best folders out there imho, easily trumps many of the customs I've owned:thumbup:
(kudos to Mr. Ritters pocket survival kit too!)

 Glad you got one and like it. It's a great design.:)

As a fellow southpaw with 3-4 of Scott's knives, I can say yes he does excellent southpaw sheaths!!!

Sorry protourist, missed your question. As Bear Claw said, it's easy for me to make sheaths for leftys. Although, I make so many rightys, I sometimes forget when making a lefty sheath and it ends up a righty. :D

Thanks!

BTW, just in case your wife might be interested, Aeromedix.com is expecting another limited run of the Pink Mini-RSK Mk1s in 3-4 weeks. (see the knife here: http://www.equipped.org/valentinesday.htm ) As before 10% goes to Breast Cancer Reseaerch and Treatment, on top of the donation that Benchmade makes on the wholesale price of the knife.

Thanks for your support.
