Benchmade Ritter

Sad part is, I gotta take a new pic'.

My limited run 551BKSN plain edge black blade desert sand handle wasn't here yet!

I wanted one of those but I was worried it might replace my other far more expensive folders as my preferred carry.

Hell, I know it would... you can just tell that's a great design by looking at it.

Stonewash blade, S30V, axis lock...

OK, if it had G10 scales it would be perfect!

Look up Kevin Wilkins then, I did. ;)

My Mini Ritter just did the North Island of New Zealand with me last week on a "tramping" trip- I just like the feel more than the full size (basically the handle). Other items form the backpack PSK got used too for general needs- though did not find out how to get the Microlite II off its irritating demo mode till I got home to Australia last night. thanks for helping inspire the creation of one

Doug if you can persuade Benchmade to come out with flat scaled versions of the Ritter Grips - Well I'd just have to buy another whole set - even with the way the exchange rate has gone. It is a survival issue as they would take up less space, and be carried more often.

I know this thread is a bit old now, but I just wanted to thank everyone who participated in it for persuading me to get one of these for Christmas. I don't generally go for folders (except SAK's) but this one, I like!

I've never had an axis lock before. After a little oiling the thing can be opened with just a flick of the thumb on the stud, or even just by flicking the wrist. It's great!

A futher benefit I've found of the axis lock is that the knife can be opened completely silently very easily.

Anyway, thanks folks and anyone who's thinking of getting one - do it, you won't regret it!
