Ok , maybe its me , but when I heard about this knife coming out I figured , count me in . I have a couple of Bailouts and really like them .

I just saw what they're asking for this thing - limited edition or not - $600 ! Is the only upgrade the titanium scales & the "limited edition " thing ?

You're kidding me ! At least do it in Magnacut ??

I could see $350 - $ 400 , but $600 is going a little too far - in my opinion anyway ..

Let me know what you guys think ..

$600 is full MSRP, but even if retailers were offering it with the usual MAP discount of 10% at $540, I'd still say it's crazy. And I'm a huge fan of the Bailout and Benchmade.

Yeah, they've priced me out of their customer base. There's no way I'd spend Sebenza money on a Benchmade. If their machining fit and finish were to get on the level of CRK (probably never ever happen, or Reate and WE then I might buy it if I really liked the design. However you can get some Ti aftermarket scales for your regular M4 Bailout and come out much less than that.

Yep - good idea on the aftermarket titanium scales . I did that on my CF 940 in S90V with Rockscale titanium scales and it they work great and look great ...

I wouldn't pay that much, for a plain slab of Ti unless it is my grail for whatever reason. At least there should be some texture or fluting or some kind of effort put into it.. But no, they just have a "limited edition" printed on the blade. Laughable. Even as a collector, limited edition this and limited edition that, is becoming meaningless nowadays.

IMHO, why we are seeing crazy prices.

The manufacturers are seeing what flippers get on the secondary market and want in on the action. Buck is doing the same thing.
