I don’t understand the rationale for setting pricing at Benchmade. These product managers need to get their act together. You have the Adamas in magnacut at a fair cost.. CLA in magnacut? Fair for the green.. but upcharging the M4 bailout by what, $320 because you’re swapping aluminum for Ti?? Absolutely preposterous. This is why the aftermarket thrives on the bailout, bugout, griptilians, etc.

Well we recently went through 13 pages of people who will never buy a Benchmade Narrows bitching about the price - now it looks like it's the Bailout's turn. I hope the people at Benchmade appreciate all the free publicity they are getting;).

It is definitely pricing that made me do a double take; you can't even call it a "butterfly tax" anymore it's more like "winged robbery."

As I said in the Narrows thread, US makers hold some of the blame for the rise in Chinese outsourcing/manufacturing; they are pricing themselves out of a good many people's budgets. There are some US makers that this would not apply to IMO, but Benchmade has gone nuts lately.

My dad doesn't carry benchmade.. carry's a CRK.
My pops is a Huntsman SAK guy, been that way as long as I've been alive. Just gave him a new one engraved with Pawpaw as that's what all the grandkids call him 😄

When I first read about it my immediate thought was "It's probably like $800" lol turns out I wasn't that far off. BM has priced me out of pretty much all their offerings, considering what you get for your money.

I mentioned this out recent bailout iteration in a post a little while ago, not forgetting the 600 price tag that seemed ro go unnoticed, but it's not just this model, their Narrows is just as much of a money money grab. Unless something is happening to the planets supply of titanium behind the scenes, the price tag of 600 is pure comedy

I mean, Caviar is pretty good, but ---
Beluga is "expensive"

The 537GY-1 Bailout has kicked almost everything else out of my pocket. Light, thin, good blade length, deep carry clip, good steel (M4), the blade finish is holding up well, USA-made, great action, and I love the AXIS lock. I paid $230 for it a few years ago, and it's about $270 now. Worth every penny. Would I pay $600 for the same knife with titanium scales and a different color thumb stud? No chance.

In general J think Benchmade has footed too expensive, at least for me they have and $600 is way above what I am willing to pay.

Right, and like someone else mentioned, you can buy titanium scales for like $100, which comes out to $370! I could see if it was like a $30 difference for a factory ti edition, but a $230 difference is nuts

Depends on the cracker thats under it...

Pinky's out my frens.
Almost like saying "I like whiskey when it's mixed with coke" ;)
Take a spoonful to make sure you like caviar as it is, all its salty poppy goodness then throw down your Ritz cracker, ha!
Ok back to the OP subject at hand
