Ahh, the poor uninformed and inexperienced!

There’s no bad mornings when ya got a LG cutting open ya cereal bag and buttering ya biscuits!

LG for Life! 😎
I mean, I have Oneida butter knives for the butter spreading but, clearly I'm an unbeliever

They’ve lost their minds. I love Benchmade and it’s absolutely sad to see them totally ignoring the obvious outrage to their price gouging

I wish benchmade would just stop with the omega spring axis lock designs. Other companies already do it better than them and sell springs separately if they break. Any design that uses the axis lock coming out from benchmade is an automatic no from me. The last good design they had that used a liner lock was the tengu, and that lacked a pocket clip. Idk what the designers there are smoking…

We really didn’t need to go there. Benchmade makes an axis lock just fine.

I wish the povertyminds would go look at the less expensive benchmades instead of complaining about the most expensive. Wait until you see the price of a Raptor R compared to a XLT. Or Arcteryx coat vs Columbia.

During a recent sale you could buy a bugout for $110 at REI. Start there.

I think benchmade is battling 2 fronts:

Everybody else can now use the axis lock.

The intrusion of over seas companies in direct competition at their price points.

They seem to be taking the approach that they’re an established American company that is worth more than the competition, imo. Don’t know if they’re approach is a good one or not.

Personally, I’d never buy their blue line or exclusives cause it’s just the same knife with maybe better steel and better scales. Not worth it imo. I would still buy their regular production models if there was any left that I wanted.

Well that just ridiculous, and the classism just makes you look ignorant. I have more than a handful of knives that are over $1,500 and I think Benchmade’s most recent pricing on some of their lines is insane, out of touch, and just plain GREEDY. Like many other companies, they’re counting on the name of the company to carry them. I honestly wonder what Les De Asis would think of all this. It has nothing to do with how much money someone makes. The value just isn’t there for what Benchmade is putting out on some of their lines.

This coming from a guy with a Benchmade with $700 plus invested into it.

Does anyone actually have evidence that this knife is retailing for $600?

Even still, I keep coming back to "If you think it's overpriced, don't buy it."

The great thing about a capitalist market is makers have the right to price their wares at whatever they want. And buyers are free to spend their dollars however and wherever they choose.

Any attempt to regulate that and the slope gets real icy real quick.

Won't the dollar votes ultimately decide anyway? If these sit on dealers' shelves, Benchmade is probably smart enough to evaluate their next moves.

Posted by a guy with zero benchmades and zero plans to buy any.
