Precisely. Weight leaving the OP vs weight leaving Bends would prove unequivocally which one of these guys is wrong - because one certainly is.

It wasn't a misunderstanding! Its pure and simple theft. I sent him the 3 knives, and he is keeping the one and only he wanted. I originally got it from him in a trade and he emailed and ask if he could get it back in trade when I listed it for trade, and I said absolutely.
I double checked tonight and he was sent all 3 knives.
Theft is theft, but you can call it a misunderstanding if you want. This forum is getting to be a joke for bad trades and theft lately, kind of like watch u seek.

Thanks for the back handed compliment, I think. If you aren't happy here, we don't operate on a contract you can go at any time. But keep in mind, a lot of the issues you claim that happen here are attributed to people not doing their homework on who they are dealing with. They blindly send their "precious" to some unknown bastard and then complain endlessly about it. Or they pay someone using the cursed (gift) option and screw themselves over. We've even had people from other forums come over here, bringing their trashy deals to our doorstep. What else can we possibly do to appease you kind Sir?

I wasn't looking to be right or wrong in my one previous post, nor was I taking sides. My intent was to merely point out the fact that there wasn't nearly enough information to pass judgement on either party given what the OP contained. In rereading the post that spawned this thread, I continue to believe that my initial assertion was well founded. There simply wasn't enough specific information to draw conclusions, especially conclusions that quickly snowballed into one specific post that seemed about as self righteous as I've ever had the displeasure of reading.

I take exception to the fact that you state that only part of my iniitial post was 'right', as if to place blame on either party was ever my goal. I thought that my post was much clearer than that and to insinuate otherwise by attempting to point out untrue facts as to my intentions, is reaching for something that may satisfy your own needs and desires, but does little, if anything, to convince me (or perhaps any other's) that you're somehow duty bound to be BF's 'Hall Monitor' of ethical behavior and moral terpitude.

Lighten up a bit...........no one's perfect, not all such circumstances are either evil nor premeditated, not all posts that don't embrace your own conclusions are wrong nor are they posted to be just contentious.

We all hope that this situation gets resolved.......why wouldn't we...? Unless, of course, it would help to justify one's untenable, premature, unsolicited opinion and position.

Bottomline........I hope that this situation rights itself in the very near future and there are lessons now learned that we need not repeat. Also, we are all adults here and we know right from wrong and if we lack the integrity to act as both responsible members here and in society as a whole, no amount of preaching from one's own self assigned pulpit is going to change that. A 'heads-up' here or there.....no big deal. But the downright talking down to fellow members is about as effective as having your wife/girlfriend take 2 birth control pills each night to be doubly effective. It doesn't work............no matter what you say your intentions aren't, in doing so..

Tomorrow will be a month since Bends has had my knives. His part of the trade has never shipped, and my knives have not been returned.
 
I sent him a warning, he needs to get this wrapped up. I'll gladly ban his account, but that means that you are out of luck and any responsibility he has to you is over as far as bladeforums is concerned. No more threads, no more communication, no more account. If you're willing let me know.

I have the package with me and it will be shipped out today. Once it has been shipped, I will post the tracking number here.

Even though you publicly accused me of being a thief, I have remained civil throughout this process. I did so, because I chose to believe you were not trying to deceive me and would probably end up finding the missing knife in between the couch cushions or some such place. Then we'd all laugh about it and move on. I posted the copy of my receipt more for you than anyone else. So you could see that the weights are the same. And I know they are. I know because I packed the same knives in the same box with the same packing material. They have to be the same. I know I've made mistakes, no matter the reasons, and have owned up to them. I hoped you would do the same.

I noticed you were viewing this thread several times last night, yet chose not to comment or post your receipt. I think I might have made the wrong assumption about you. So Calvin Peck (calemerson), at this point I'm calling you out. You accused me of being a thief and I've emptied my pockets. It's time to empty yours.

Thanks for posting everything up Brandon. Now, if we could have a look at the receipt that calemerson has, we should be able to see what the weight difference really is.
 
And the plot thickens.......... Now waiting on the OP ........... This is a rare case where we should actually be able to know the truth in one of these "he said, she said" threads. Would have expected some kind of response from the OP by now?
 
Bends I apologize. The weights are almost the same. I think all 3 knives are in the big box. The scandi and bone trapper in the scandi box and the snap knapp down inside the scandi sheath in the outer big box.
I will post some pics when I get the box back, it would have went much better if you have just emailed and ask about the 3rd knife.

I took everything out of every box inside the big box. I looked in every nook and cranny. I agree that I should have emailed immediately upon noticing the missing knife. Any normal day, I would have. I want to still believe that you thought it was in the box. Check your couch cushions. What is the weight on your receipt?

0.1oz difference. About the weight of a toenail clipping. OK, I admit it. I kept the toenail clipping. ;)

You can use www.imgur.com to load pictures, works every time.
 
I have noticed a recent pattern here - in this section of the forum - one that has landed someone a spot on my ignore list. Not cool to attack and accuse another member either falsely or through impatience. And yes, communication by bends more timely is certainly a problem - but would seem he can learn from things - some apparently don't. I just hope that flamming red haired bully pulpit moral preacher does not show up again either.

Or slightly less tape was used to seal it, but I agree about the weight you shipped back matches his weight of the package to you.
