Bento Box Paramilitary 2 M390 coming back in stock?

I'll probably try to snag one of these, but if I recall correctly, they already did a first and second run, and now a third run? What about a fourth and fifth..? >_>
It's good news if you just want a legendary design in a top notch steel, but if you're a collector, it's kinda a burn. It decreases the value of the ones currently in collections.

Someone hurry up and sell one to skivic for $300 before BBS releases them again! :p
*Side note, looks like it's gonna sell for $189, which is quite a bit more than they originally sold for a few years ago, but that's less than they go for now on the secondary

I have one from the first run and just checked my records, original run price was $180 in February of 2012. BBS's prices are high but they're not inflating prices significantly here from where they started. Now, why these are $180-190 when 204P/M4 were $140-150... that's a fair question for BBS, but it's their business to run, I guess.

re: collector vs user argument... sorry, no sympathy for collectors when it comes to restricting supply to keep value high. :p PM2 is a great design and M390 deserves to be used. I'm all for Spyderco using as much M390 and CTS-204P as possible; would love to see it join the regular lineup on Golden models. Better balance of edge retention and sharpenability than S110V IMO.

Old pic, when it was still newish and cleanish:

Still my most carried Spyderco and probably my most carried folder, period.

Just on a superficial aesthetic level- I want one of these to match my often carried Delica 4. Sometimes you just like the scale color.

Shipping $14! Jeez. Also, love this message after the order is placed: " When you placed your order with or submitted payment to Bento Box Shop, you unconditionally agreed to and accepted all of Bento Box Shop's Terms and Conditions. "

I'd be willing to bet this is not exactly legal.

These are back up for pre-order, get them while you can, I'm sure they won't last very long

Lol, you should see their international shipping rates... sorry, no way I am ever going to order from them.

I'd love to try that M390 but I'll stick with the 204P domino

$190+$14+9% sales tax even though tax in my area is 7.25%.... yeah no, not for a PM2.

With those prices I don't know how BBS stays in business. But congrats to you guys that are getting them, I will live vicariously through your pictures.

Since i have to go out of my way to ship to my brother in a different state since BBS wont ship to NY, every other company does and to be honest i wont do business with them because of it, I just got my Cruwear and carry my M4 BHQ everyday for work, i had 3 m390 para 2 over the years and always seem to sell them.

They also don't allow returns. I picked up a m390 from them some years back and it arrived with a chip in the blade. I emailed to inquire about it and they essentially told me it wasn't their problem, contact Spyderco.

That and their thing with the Elmax PM2 where I'm pretty sure initially you could only get it as a package with another one of their exclusives left a bad taste in my mouth as far as BBS goes.

Pass.

After all the fees and taxes $220 total, still couldn't resist since I've offered more than that in the past for used ones and been shot down. Bento has an interesting business model, they have discontinued knives no longer available anywhere else because of the high prices. They just operate knowing eventually someone will pay it. I mean who else still has Dodo's in stock.

Anyone want to bet these don't show until 2017?

That's why I'm not on board. I love the PM2 and M390 but I not paying anyone over $200 and waiting 2, 3 + months for a knife that could be damaged and you can't return it.
I also won't pay $300-400 for the secondary price which we all know will happen. Guess I'll never have a M390 PM2 but that's fine I have many M390 Ritters.

This is my grail PM2 (favorite steel, favorite color G10) so I'll gladly pay $200 for one, considering I haven't really been able to find one for less than $300 up to now. Glad I checked the forums today! Here's hoping the fit and finish on can come close to my Cruwear PM2 (which feels like a custom it's so good!).

Agree

BBS = Racket.

I agree that it's pretty cool a site still has disco'd Spydies. But, as far as I'm concerned they can keep'em.
