Agreed ! My Pm2 cruwear is the best one to Date as its pretty much perfect and can't find anything wrong with it. Definitely a perfect specimen.

I live in NY , and of course - they wont ship there . Funny , I can buy almost any type of folder anywhere here -assisted , etc but they wont ship me a regular folder, and from what they say on their website , it looks like they never will .

They would probably increase their business considerably if they did .I know a lot of people here who would like to buy from them .

In the mean time I acquired a PM2 in CTS- 204P ( basically M390 ) , and found some blue scales to put on it . Close enough ......

The recent Elmax exclusive was $200 and I'm sure many consider M390 a better steel, so if the M390 does come in at $189 I'd consider it a good deal.

I saw CRUWEARS going for as high as $199, so yeah, I think we can count on BBS to price on the high end, but hey, maybe we'll be pleasantly surprised.
The ELMAX sprint also took quite a while to sell out iirc, so who knows.
 
I just received an email from PayPal stating my M390 PM2 is on the way from Bento Box!! (I ordered a few hours after the pre-orders went live)

I and several other people on the spyderco forum have brought the idea up only to be reminded it won't be happening
 
I got a shipping notice, but it just says label created. I'm wondering if they made a bunch of labels to have packages ready to go when they receive these, or have they already received and started shipping? I ordered within 5 minutes of them making the Facebook announcement btw.

It's good news if you just want a legendary design in a top notch steel, but if you're a collector, it's kinda a burn. It decreases the value of the ones currently in collections.

Someone hurry up and sell one to skivic for $300 before BBS releases them again! :p
*Side note, looks like it's gonna sell for $189, which is quite a bit more than they originally sold for a few years ago, but that's less than they go for now on the secondary

re: collector vs user argument... sorry, no sympathy for collectors when it comes to restricting supply to keep value high. :p PM2 is a great design and M390 deserves to be used. I'm all for Spyderco using as much M390 and CTS-204P as possible; would love to see it join the regular lineup on Golden models. Better balance of edge retention and sharpenability than S110V IMO.

I ordered 2. One is for me and the other will probably be sold once I see what the secondary market is on them. The market for the previous runs of the blue M390 models was very strong. While I do buy blades at retail to sell them, I don't have any problem with a company making more (or charging more for) of a popular design. Spyderco and BBS need to do what's in their best interest. They don't owe it to the collectors to protect their "investments". Sorry, that's just how the world works.
 
Man I've been buying too many knives lately but I may have to snag one. I love m390 and the blue.

just put one in my cart and went to the check out, to see the shipping cost to Canada.
$45.95usd , by far the most expensive shipping I've seen.
almost had it justified to myself that i needed a 4th pm2.
$50 shipping squashed that.
 
This is one I've been wanting for awhile but I'd never pay $425 for a new one on the auction site. I think this is a great price for the m390 steel, I paid about the same price for the foliage elmax version from them. Shipping confirmation came today very happy :)
 
Everyone keeps saying shipping notice came. I ordered mine within 5 minutes of going live. I only have a shipping label created. When are you guys that say it's been shipped supposed to receive them according to tracking info?

It's probably been shipped out already. I got a shipping notice very very early Saturday morning, and the tracking number started showing tracking information about 5 hours ago (around midnight), and had already moved quite a distance. This is typical USPS tracking, unfortunately. Sometimes USPS tracking doesn't update until it's out for delivery, or already delivered. Don't want to get peoples hopes up if indeed their packages haven't shipped, but that's the likely culprit.

My tracking shows an Expected Delivery Day of Tuesday, November 15... and it only has to travel around 700 miles. There's a good chance I will see this Monday.

I ordered Nov 5th, around 1:30 PM, Pacific time and received a shipped notification on Nov 11 around 6 PM, It took several hours before the tracking updating with actual movement. It departed Santa Clarita, CA about 2 hours ago.
