great movie, think I might watch it tonight if it's still on netflix.
I gave my BMF to my brother. I scrimped and saved for that knife, was probably 15 when I bought it during a visit to my dad's in Toronto. I don't miss that knife at all, which is a little weird given my history with it. I guess I always wanted to like it more, but it just wasn't a really well conceived knife. I acquired a 70s Mark II a few years ago and gave it to my dad for his birthday. He was a big fan of Gerbers, had a Frisco Shiv which made quite an impression on me. When he died, his wife gave it back to me and with me it will stay. I have a couple guardians that I picked up here on the exchange, there are some gems that show up from time to time, (just snagged a Gryphon M30 and M10 for a steal!). It's unfortunate that Gerber chose a more corporate path, but I suppose the fact the company still exists may be proof that was a good move. Sadly, their current product is a shadow of the previous products, quality-wise.
